For those who cannot wait until the 31st, the first episode has been leaked:

The ending was INTENSE!
"All these years I thought it was power that brought responsibility. It's not. I was wrong. It's responsibility that brings power. It's knowing what needs to be done that brings strength. And courage." - Peter Parker, Earth X
If you watched the leak and loved it, watch the premiere!
Good ratings keep great shows alive!
I thought it was good, the cast is pretty fitting as well.
How well do you think this will follow in the graphic novel? I don't remember much from the novels.
i don't follow series but i'm definitely gonna check this out! i friggin love zombie movies!!!
hd-pvr is set and good to go!

I picked up a bunch of the comics. Seems pretty damn cool so far.

It's supposed to be similar enough so that the people who read the novels will be able to identify with the characters , yet different enough that it's still fresh and feels newOriginally posted by almerick

I'd never even heard of the graphic novels, but I see that I can download the first 78 (or all 78 ) so I might check 'em out

Just watched the first episode. It wasn't that bad although I am a fan of the "fast" zombies, less so on the stereotypical slow zombie.

Really? I've always enjoyed the slow zombies more. It seems to make it more about the characters and their ability to think rationally. If they get to caught up in everything and don't keep a level head that's when things go wrong. While I definitely find fast zombies can be more intense, there's always a soft spot fore me and the slow ones.Originally posted by cycosis

I guess its comes from the fact the I think 28 days later and dawn of the dead are pretty much my favorite movies and and the zombies are jsut so fucking god damn vicious. These ones kinda seem weak-ass like you could punch one and then jsut walk away where as the fast ones you are fucked.

Pretty much sums it up why I am a fan of the slow ones as well, it seems to give the protagonists more of a fighting chance and leaves more room for psychological reasoning. I am also a fan of the shopping mall stereotype as well.Originally posted by Unknown303

Most of the new fast zombies are mainly infected (such as a random strain of rabies) and less living dead..
Slow zombie = old school originals, more dead like, and a little hope for survival.
Fast zombie = new movie style, not so dead like, and NO chance of survival.
The former is better for story telling, the latter better for fast paced action thriller movies.
Anyone catch Dead Set as well? British short series from a couple of years ago. Only 3 hours total time, but decent. It's based on the cast of "Big Brother" being the only survivors.

I also prefer the traditional slow zombies. Watching it right now. Seems like a great series so far
