The hospital seems pretty hospitable. You get food, shelter and safety, what's wrong with that?

You have to pay for it all and you can obviously tell the lady has ego issues. It's like working for someone who thinks they are better than everyone else. Can't imagine that being a great place to be for a long period of time.Originally posted by Quizzes

lollipop for groping, what's wrong with that?
I laughed when they landed on top of the bodies, something to do with that sound, and the guy with a limp with no weapon managed to walk pass the herd of zombies. I'm not complaining. This is a lot better than mumble jumbo.

I've been wondering if Eugene is actually who he says he is. After all, he claims that DC has the infrastructure necessary for them to survive, but wouldn't you think that if he knows about it, someone's already been there (and probably been compromised) by now? Plus, I get the vibe that he's generally just an idiot.
The thing I enjoy about Walking Dead is the different takes on how societies can survive, especially when faced with the constant threat of zombies and other groups. For example, Hershel's farm was idyllic and, for the most, safe. But that was at a time when there was still hope that it would all end and they would be able to resume their normal lives.
The Governor's society was presided over by an iron fisted tyrant who lied and manipulated to maintain his power. He provided for his people, but engaged in a lot of manipulation to get what he wanted. Ultimately, he saw the existence of Rick's group as a threat to his power, and lied his way into convincing his people that was the case (not so different than Bush's WMDs in Iraq case).
The Terminus group was an interesting angle because they were a group that saw incredible hardship (which they briefly touched on, but for whatever reason didn't expand too much on) that forced them to resort to cannibalism to survive. Cannibalism aside, they were actually pretty humane when it came to the slaughter. The question is, what led them to become so despicable in the process? Did Rick and his group's attack push them over the edge? Was it innate in them the whole time?
The Hospital group is basically trying to bring back slavery. When the cops go out on runs, they're not just looking for physical supplies but for human capital, as well. Like the old slave traders who would capture slaves from Africa and bring them to the USA. What makes them the bad guy is that most of the population seems to be brought there against their will. The question with this group is: Is slavery a necessary evil? As someone else has mentioned, they've got a safe place with food, water, and medicine. Would you be willing to sacrifice your freedom for this?
On the other end of the spectrum of the Hospital group is Rick's group. Neither safe nor secure, but they have their freedom to come and go, and everyone does their fair share and get's to give input for group decisions.

In the comics, he turns out to be just a high school science teacher, who doesn't know shit about a zombie cure, and is lying to have protection, and a ride to D.C.
Although he does confess eventually, and becomes pretty useful to the group with his science skills

Spoiler:
Who's body is that in the preview?
Thought that was a pretty good episode. Did well to explain Abe's obsession with "the mission"....never really took time to grieve.

I have a serious dis-like for Eugene after last nights episode..
My only grope with last night's episode was they should have made it clear that he was killing his family's rapists at the beginning and it would've have been much more epic and dramatic if Abraham just shot Eugene in the head mid sentence at the end. .. There is absolutely no more use for his character as far as i know and it would've been a surprise twist from the comics. ..
For the first two seasons, I could hardly wait for each new episode to find out how the story was progressing.... it was constantly edge-of-the-seat.
Last season was ok.
The Terminus arc was awesome, but blew it's load rather suddenly.
Find little of redeeming value now in the show. Can't be bothered to watch, although it is nice to read the summaries on Monday morning to find out how the adventure is progressing.
The show itself has become a zombie - Still moving, but hasn't figured out that it's dead.

Can't imagine that this is a surprise to anyone.
From the get-go he reminded me of a guy I met in the drunk tank one night.... Someone with a delusional sense of their own abilities. He had all sorts of crazy theories about how he'd bust himself out.
It didn't take long for him to earn the nickname "Macgyver", and me and the other guys passed the hours making up absurd scenarios to see how he'd run with them...
"Hey Macgycer, what if we had some gum and tinfoil, what could you do?"
"Hey Macgyver, what if we had a broken walkman, what could you do?"
"He Macgyver, what if I unravelled my shirt into threads, what could you do?"
"Hey Macgyver, what if....."

If you know how to turn on the hose on a dead fire truck, you would know how to stop the zombie apocalypse.
