Lets get Druh Farrell out! Oct 2010

So I now reside in the Ward 7 area and like many people in Calgary, they know the agenda that Druh Farrell is running in Calgary. I'm thinking that everyone on here in ward 7, band together and vote for someone to oust Druh from her chair.

voted to close down Race City
close down Memorial Dr so people can ride their bikes because there isn't enough room on the bike paths?!?

So I was looking at the people running against her and was thinking that Jim Pilling is the best bet or choice. He's lived in the Ward 7 area his entire life and has been a part of that community forever. He is in construction so I would think he knows a thing or two about planning.

Other runners are:
Barry Eldridge who ran against Druh last round and lost by a land slide, not sure if he can do much better this time.

Kevin Taylor - a possible candidate but up for debate.
Michael Krisko - who knows.

So lets get an agreement. I'm not for one person or another, just the most likely to win over Druh Farrell.

Am in Highwood which was ward 4 under Hawkesworth and am now in ward 7 and will not be voting for Druh. Am leaning towards Kevin Taylor or Jim Pilling.

Would it be considered vote tampering if I changed my address to a friends house in Ward 7 just to vote her out? There's no chance of my idiot alderman getting voted out in my ward, so I may as well help where I can

I think it is bullshit that I cannot help vote-out an alderman that so negatively affects me, just because of some invisible boundaries place me out of the voting district.

Let's get all the beyonders to agree on one candidate. Voting as a block is the only way this has any chance of succeeding.

Jim is a close family friend, so i can vouch for him for what its worth. I didnt know hes lived in that ward his whole life, but I do know hes done a lot of travelling and has spent a lot of time in places a long ways from here. Besides, im sure there are tons of politicians/aldermen whos 'home' is in the same city their whole life. Whats the difference if you move over an imgainary line to a different ward?

More importantly hes a no bullshit kinda guy who would actually confront other council members on the extremely rare occasion that a calgary alderman proposes an idiotic idea.
