Great! I was using the older style Vapor XXV. I found too much flex in the boot, I did compare the total ones with the X60 and I opted for the wider toe box, light weight and the new blade. After breaking them in I love them, my stride has improved as well Ive found the X-stiff insert to work out the best for my skating style

    Skates: Bauer One95s
    Gloves: Warrior Franchise (Custom)
Helmet: Reebok 6k - only helmet that fits my round head nicely
Stick: Bauer Vapor x60, non grip

I sort of want to try CCM U+'s for skates maybe in the future as the One 95s I have are still pretty good

Most places can't ship Easton or Bauer to Canada. Just wait for a sale like the Sportchek 25% off sale. If not, your best bet is Pro Hockey Life. They have the buy one get the second 20% off deal all the time.

    Skates: Nike Bauer Vapor XXXX

This is the best deal I have found inside the country at the moment if you don't mind the paint job. S19 team Canada edition for $249 with free shipping.

United Cycle in Edmonton had all their sticks buy one get one half price for their hockey days sale but that ended Sept. 30th. Too bad we never see sales like that locally at our Source for Sports locations.

How long did it take you to get your green biscuit? I ordered one but there's no shipping info on their website and I didn't get it emailed to me either.

I fucking love them. I had no intentions of buying skates that cost that much money. I was wearing Vapor XXX's before, and Started out looking at the X60's as I love ski boot stiff skates

I was sort of skeptical that the inserts in the tounge would make them that much of a better performing skates, but I was totally blown away with them.

I use the X-Stiff insert and wow it works.
So yes, if you are considering them, go for it. They are by far the best skate I have ever used. Worth every penny...

On a side note does anyone know a good place for skate sharppenings tonight? I play at 1115 tonight, and need a sharpening...

Just wondering if any of you guys would be interested in a TotalOne shaft (2 piece, just the shaft).

I always buy 87 flex sticks and have to cut them down about 2.5 inches. However, i don't know if they make their sticks longer nowadays but i had to cut it down about 5.5 inches and find that it's a little too stiff for me now.

I bought it last night and used it for one game. Just looking to see if anyone is interested or if i'll just have to get used to it.

I've been playing a lot more this year and my cheapo mission helmet is really uncomfortable. Can anyone recommend a comfortable helmet?

My price range is $100-$150 as I've seen that anything below $100 will be lined w/ that hard foam lining.

I like my Reebok 6K. If you want something with a customized fit then I'd recommend the 8K or Bauer 9500 and 8500. Bauer's new line came out so those 2 should be on sale if you can find any left. Reebok should be on sale soon as their new line has been announced.
