Go4Long suggested the idea for this thread, and I took it upon myself to move it along.
Obviously, it's to show off your lids , but it can also be a good source of info for others.
Here are the ones I'm using presently:
Suomy Spec1R Extreme - Flowers (Anthracite)
What I use it for: Everyday riding/back-up track helmet
Pros: Lightweight, good ventilation, visor doesn't fog, fits like a glove after some break-in, awesome internal padding.
Cons: Noisy, visor system makes swapping a pain
Shoei RF 1000 - Caster (Black) & Szoke
What I use them for: Caster is a back-up lid, and the Szoke was my track helmet until I crashed it.
Pros: Quiet, well balanced, easy to use visor system. Of course, I have also crash tested one, and walked away with nothing more than a headache.
Cons: Visor fogs up pretty easy when at a stand still. Easy fix by cracking it a notch, but still a con. Noticeably more lift at high speeds compared to the "race" fit Suomy.
Scorpion EXO-700 - Burst (Red)
What I use it for: Track
Pros: Cost effective w/ good features for its price point. Easy to use visor system, decently balanced.
Cons: Internal padding not as comfy as some higher end brands, but acceptable. Air flow is decent, but poorly directed. I get wind in my eyes, and a lot from under the chin, which I suspect is causing some lift.
