Just ordered up this, should be in by end of next week.
So far so good with this lid - thinking about a visor change to reduce glare - any recommendations?
I was actually going to invest in that exact helmet! ^^^^ How is it so far? Still on the fence...
Great so far - good venting, not too loud, very comfortable (make sure you try it on since everyone's melon is a different shape).Originally posted by dirtysamwich

I wanted to get a bright helmet (white basecoat) to help with others seeing me. I love the look of a black helmet but with my black jacket I was worried about the cagers checking their Facebook and driving.
Get a mirrored visor.
I have them for all my helmets
love it
Get pinlock. Then you can change to the smoked visor, dont think I can ever go back to a standard visor.Originally posted by SkiBum5.0

worst part is definitely when the dudes smacking it with his dick like that inside out anus owes his dick some money.
This is what i'm using right now, i'll probably buy another helmet soon though since it's around the "5 year" expiry.
If it still fits snug, dont worry about it.. We don't wear our helmets enough up here during the year to wear them out as fast as down south... And the materials don't break down that quickly.. they just want you to buy another one.
Super D is right. Helmets don't expire. If it gets too packed in or loose, you can get new cheek pads for that one. The liner on the RF1000 doesn't come out but the cheeks do. The only reason to get a new helmet if you haven't crashed yours is to take advantage of improving technology.

Im not saying they don't reach an age they should be retired, all Im saying is that there is a huge difference between us wearing helmets maybe a few times a week, for a few dozen weeks tops, compared to cali or florida where they were them everyday and sweat steady year round in them. Store it inside, and not hung over a mirror or seat bracket and its fine long past 5 yrs. But if it makes you feel better, giver.
I'll say it then... your helmet will be replaced by a new, significantly better helmet design long before the construction materials begin to degrade due to sunlight, human sweat, mold, moisture or anything other than blunt force. That's why you should buy a new helmet if your helmet is 5 years or older, not because your old helmet materials are breaking down, it's to get a helmet that takes advantage of new designs and materials that do a better job of keeping your brain safe and functioning. The oils in your sweat do not break down the polystyrene (EPS) liner - that is a myth. (unless you are talking about 100+ years) The only part that degrades is the comfort liner which is not the thing that protects your head - The EPS liner does that. The exterior shell does not directly protect your head either, it protects the EPS liner and keeps it from flying off everywhere in an impact. There is no magic or mystery to helmets.

Some of them buy new helmets every other year. Its like, why? if you haven't crashed in it, there is nothing wrong with it.

Picked it up today, looooooooove it. Tried 10 different lids before I bought this one, felt like cinderella's slipper when I put it on, like it was made just for me.
Added a dark smoke shield and now I am actually scared of myself when I catch my reflection in the mirror.
DOES ANYONE NEED A GO-JUICE?
Cool helmet...I want a new one but the wifey said no
And my old one on your wall of shame and the fact that I don't drool shows that they crash wellOriginally posted by RedlineMS

My small collection but just sold the Corsair 5 Haga WSBK to my cousin, figured I might as well take some pics while I still have it! Was looking all over the place for the Haga Fire & Ice but couldn't find one so I bought the Haga WSBK. The day it shipped, I found the Haga Fire & Ice in the UK!

Nice helmets! I need to get a new one since my previous one was written off.
I prefer the ones with the slide down visor to keep out the sun.
Nice helmets zerofighter
