Questionable new users

I was perusing the user list (sorted by date) and noticed that probably a good 90-95% of new users are no more than bots or users just listing a questionable web site. That said, does anyone know if there's any weeding out done on new users and yeah, I'm probably considered a new user by many active beyond members.

You mean you haven't figured out what this site is all about yet? Other than stuffing the owner's pockets is there even any sort of a semi-productive cause and/or a healthy contribution to society on here? Of course there's gonna be new users daily!

Yeah I think they stopped preventing users from using gmail and yahoo mail etc etc. I have like 5 accounts.

New sign-ups, I don't believe they go through. They will however ban trolls, or spammers when they post their shit, but need people to help them, hence the "report this post" button.

No kidding. Who doesn't realize that if they sign up for another account and log in on the same computer as a different account, that they won't be exposed?

In the User Manager:
-User Quick Links
-View IP Address'

List of IP's come up, followed by "Find more users with this IP address"

Might be a different UI, but about the same idea. Idiot.

I think exactly the same way....they all act tough on here but when you come face to face....most of them are really shy...(or useto be....i doubt much has changed)
