Default Girlfriend looking for her first business card

    Hello all!

The girl is looking for her first business cards and the crap that i have seen really sucks.

Ill pay $50 for a good design if someone is up for it. I also have higher res pictures if need be. Ive seen some work from you guys....most of you shit more talent as waste than most of the graphic designers in the hat. Thanks!

Here is the proofs she got so far...

EDIT: Here is the local remax website if will help http://www.remax-medalta-ab.com/

don't see what's wrong with #2... also spend the $10 and get at least a proper email address

anytime i see someone 'professional' with a hotmail/gmail/etc email address i toss out their business card, that's just my opinion though

I agree with the email address and she is looking into it. Thing is gmail integrates with android so well and she uses an android based phone.

They also do not have an exchange server to provide her with one afaik.

As far as the proofs, they just seem to bland to me. But i dont any sense of design haha.

go to any webhosting company or domain registrar and buy a domain name, some will give you email access which you just punch in on your phone, don't need exchange some you will need to pay $15 per year for email access, so in total top $40 for business recognition, cheaper than the business cards

if you need more help you can PM me and if you want design work send me the proofs with original pictures provided to the graphic design studio

Gmail addresses are fine. I see them on more and more business cards these days because they're such a good, easy and popular email client. Look at Wired magazine for instance.

I do agree though that a proper work email address still looks way better.

Although, if you think a gmail address looks unprofessional, how do you guys think some random ass domain name email that doesn't have anything to do or match up at all with Remax is going to look?

Just my opinion, but if it isn't an official Remax email address, then gmail is the next best thing for sure.

She definitely needs a better picture though, what is that 10 dpi?

I like the second one, simple.

Why wouldnt Re/max supply an e-mail?
Its not only about money. Its about freedom, friends and family too.

You can get your own domain name attached to a gmail for business account.

Using gmail / hotmail / yahoo, etc for business is the stupidest idea I've heard. Talk about security risk. Might as well send private messages by billboard.

I bought a domain and my hoster uses P-IMAP so the email gets pushed out to my Android phone instantly. I use HostGo, pick up a domain from them for $10, hosting for $7 a month and bingo-bango....push email.

    1) www.godaddy.com - Register an appropriate domain name. Substitute with your favorite domain registrar if you have one you like better.

    2) https://www.google.com/a/cpanel/domain/new - Sign up here, plug in the required information into the Google Apps page, and use GoDaddy's (or domain registrar of your choice) DNS control panel to set the MX records to the ones Google provides you in their tutorials. The setup is quite easy, if a bit tedious.

Boom. Domain name e-mail running on Google's servers for free. Syncs with Android like a dream.

All the information you guys are providing is awesome! Keep it coming. To touch on the picture and the quality issue these are proofs that aren't using the full res pictures. They actually aren't too bad just by themselves. But integrated in to the card i feel that it looks dated. But thats IMO.

I am passing all of this info to her!
