Default WTB: Fast Fun Inexpensive car.....

I'm looking at purchasing a quick & fun to drive inexpensive car. I know it may be rather hard on my budget but im not looking for anything crazy. My budget is $1000 - $2000 and i'm willing to look at most anything.. For example i'm looking at stock Acura Integra's, VW golf's, Honda Civic, Nissan 240sx.... Possibly with mods as well.. Quite cautious about budget...

**MY DEFINITION OF FAST IS NOT 12 sec CAR**

I just want something fun to drive!

    What's Kickin Around?

Ive got a 1990 civic with B18b, ITR flywheel, tint, solid motor mounts, front and rear strut braces, lowered on I believe Koni yellows. It is really fast and super fun to drive. Send me a PM if you're interested.

Both those cars are complete projects and aren't worth anything.. I understand my budget is tight but im not looking for a crazy fast car.. something fun to drive and inexpensive.. I can get a '91 5.0L Stang for $3000 but i'm not willing to spend the extra $$..

Wow. I'm feeling so much beyond love...

Ok so I've found a 97 golf for $1000 or a 95 integra for $1500. Which one and why??

I am just being honest, i no way would I consider EITHER of those cars to be 'fast' or reliable to work on.

Minimum the car would have to run 14's to be fast. A jetta 1.8t runs 15's.

I guess to make myself clear I'm NOT looking for a 14 sec or a 15 sec car. I will never track anything I purchase. I just want a reliable fun car to buzz around in. I mean for $1000 - $2000 I'm not gonna get anything great. I understand that.

Any car could be fun depnding on how you drive. If you are not looking for a 12 second or track ready car I dont understand why you would require mods. I could assure you two things tho, a $2000 car will most likely break down on you or you will outgrow it in a short peroid of time. Good luck tho!!!!

My boss purchased a 1992 Nissan Pulsar SX1600 for $1200.00

For him it is fun and a super cheap mode of transportation. He gets $1200.00 a month to vehicles so he can swap out every 2 or 3 months and still make 5 or 6k a year.

Point being that any car can be fun, my point was that none of these cars are going to be fast. I know you dont want to run 12's but a stock jetta or even my truck keeping up to you is FAR from fast.

It says "possibly" with mods. Willing to look at stock or not. Sorry should have been more clear.
