Since I've got some time at work, thought I'd get this up.
This was my previous car - 2006 Honda Civic
I figured, that at that point - the car was done. There was nothing left to do to it. There was no point putting money into making it faster if it was just going to be as fast as an Si when that money could go to something better.
Went in to Calgary Subaru on February 28th to put a deposit down since there was a waiting list of 3 months to get it in. I thought originally that if I put it down now, by the time summer rolled around, it would be here. Luck has it (which I have none of) that the exact color, trim and model was sitting outside that lot - and it was the only one too. I ended up putting money down and picking it up a week later.
The day I took it home
From there, it sat until weather turned nice. In the meantime, I had ordered wheels and suspension parts to get it going by the time summer came.
I played with some wheel options - Fadi (who used to work at Tunerworks) helped me out by lending me a WORK XD9 in 18x10 +18 to test fit for brake clearance and inner/outer clearance. This was the wheel I originally wanted.
Unfortunately, at the time that I was ordering wheels, Japan got hit with the Earthquake and I was hesitant to order wheels without a definite ETA.
With the help of Rhys and Revwerks, he was able to locate a set of WORK XT7's that were in stock. They are 18x9.5 +20 - a little less aggressive than the XD9's, but they would do. When I had first got my Civic, they were my first set of wheels in 17x7 +45 and since then I had always longed for the concave face. To be honest, these were not even part of my wheel choices, but went with what I could get.
Test fit
Ended up doing some little mods here and there - LED interior lights.
