Built a house in Evanston in 2006, and once she is paid off would like to live closer to downtown. maybe an Infill or something..
Looking to buy my first home/condo.
Selling to upgrade.
Sellling to downgrade.
Own and content with what I have.
Renting.
Waiting for the market to stabilize.

Our townhouse in Varsity is on the market and due to medical reasons looking to buy a bungalow.
Wish I could stay in our current place, its actually pretty nice. When we buy our next place not really needing anything bigger, but hubby would like a garage.
Renting and sitting on a decent down payment. Thinking about buying an income property when I get back in town in November.
I'd buy a place for myself, but I like having room mates, and I can't afford anywhere (decent) that has a garage for my project car.
Bought first house in 05 in Woodbine, sold and upgraded in 09 also in Woodbine.
I just sold my house in Sandstone and bought a house in Ladysmith on Vancouver Island, paid $120K less than what I sold for, eliminating a substantial chunk of my mortgage. I now have monthly payments that are less than the rent on a 1 bedroom apartment... lol...
Waiting on my next move for my remaining property in Temple. It's currently rented by awesome long term tenants, so as long as they want to stick around, I'll keep it.
Girlfriend and I bought our first home over the summer. Just a one story job over a crawl space. Newly renovated 5 years ago though, and a nice new detached super-single garage with plenty of room for me to strip/build a car. It's in a small village a half hour from Lethbridge, so we paid next to nothing for it.
Constant peace and quiet with a mortgage that costs less than the first basement suite I rented when I left home. Works for me.
Just bought in the summer, 2 Story house.
First home... waiting for it to be built!!
Still living at home.

Currently own a house in Parkhill, on the market and looking to upgrade inner city. (relatively)
I'm going to be listing my place shortly and relocating to Vancouver. Time for a change
Bought 2 years after you in the same area, but I have the same plan.Originally posted by silvercivicsir

It is tough to spend 800k+ on a house though....
Right now I would be interested in a 4/5 bay heated garage with an attached house. Unfortunately most people seem to think that the garage attaches to the house, not the other (correct) way around.
My Girlfriend and i bought a 1000sq/ft, 2 bedroom condo in Varsity over summer and plan to keep it as an income property for the future. Being by a elementry school, Market mall, close to transit, the University and two hospitals. Hopefully in the next 5 years we will buy a house with a decent back yard.
REALLY want to sell to upgrade
But E&P software sales are still JUST recovering from the Downturn = No $$ for me and no new house

Spec build?
Been renting/living at home on and off up until I was 27 y/o. Just got married this summer and bought an awesome brand new place that we took possession of 4 days after the wedding. It's the place where my wife and I are planning on living in until our future kids grow up and move out. VERY content with what we have right now.

Built a 1600sq ft townhouse this year and love it
Built new in 2008. Waiting for the market to stabilize, then determine if I want to sell and upgrade or just stay where I am. Currently have 2160 sq ft on 2 floors and I will be developing the basement this winter, which will add another 800 sq ft.
I live near Saskatoon and houses over $400k are very slow to move right now, so with mine evaluating around $550k it will be a very slow sell.
