Just curious what the Beyond crowd is doing...
Looking to buy my first home/condo.
Selling to upgrade.
Sellling to downgrade.
Own and content with what I have.
Renting.
Waiting for the market to stabilize.
Just curious what the Beyond crowd is doing...

Last payment will be Nov 1st then I'm mortgage free! Gonna enjoy it for a few months and then upgrade.
Where is your current property and where are you thinking about upgrading to?Originally posted by Swank

$800 a week in mortage payments, and by early next year I will have her paid off in less then 5 yrs.. (Yes I am a cheap asian, and don't want to pay the IRD, or 3 months interest or it would be paid off now)...
Content with my current place. Once the wife is done her masters we will be buying a bigger house on a corner somewhere. I want a nicer garage and nice backyard.
Honestly though if I had to stay where I am forever it wont bother me though. Just the drug dealing neighbors.

Where would you like to buy?
We own in coventry and I would love to move back to Varsity. It is where I grew up. I want a nice house without a front attached garage and a back alley and nice trees. I miss trees oddly.Originally posted by 89coupe

Edit: said bungalow for some reason, not really what I meant.

Hey 89coupe,
You use to live in Bridgeland right? You sold the place, did you get your asking price or close to it?
Where's your new place now?

Shit, there's only 49 users here, I doubt we'll even break 100
Meh, just a townhouse in Temple so anything is an upgrade, but I've got a $200K head start vs all my buddies who are still renting. As long as it has a heated garage and no condo fees I'll move almost anywhere.Originally posted by 89coupe

Still living in Bridgeland, haven't sold it yet.Originally posted by max_boost

Where in bridgeland? I used to live just north of the 7-11 half way up that block. My fiance worked at the starbucks for a long time.Originally posted by 89coupe

What are the specs on your new place? sq.ft, rooms, and what are we looking at $ wise?
I live off 8th ave NE in Crescent and have thought about moving many times but now have put that thought to rest for good.
Nothing crazy, just your average two storey cookie cutter home, I'm developing the basement though, so I have my man domain...lol.Originally posted by max_boost

We really wanted to build inner city, but I just couldn't justify the cost/sqft.
haha and it's for that exact reason why I have to stay put or move elsewhere if I want a bigger home but I just love the location too much.Originally posted by 89coupe

I built 3 years ago, in Aspen as well. Probably be here for a little while.
Built starter home new in 2000- sold it spring 2009 and upgraded to a larger home. My next move will be to a acreage in 5 or so years. But currently looking for some bare acreage land in central Alberta (60-80k range) just for investment
