I voted SE, but to clarify, SOUTH of Glenmore away from dover and forest lawn.
Stupidity is a disease we all have, it's like a form of brain herpes. Outbreaks will occasionally occur.
i voted SE, but more so Sundance area, or midnapore.
You missed Airdrie (or any other satellite city) - I love it out here

We live inner city right now. Next step is inner city, backing on greenspace in a cul de sac...haha. There is one area that fits the bill 100% for that is in the NWish area, but only one house was on the market there.
where's the outta town option? i wanna mode outside the city on a small parcel of land, tired of the bs that comes with living in the city.

My Gf and I decided we'd prefer not to be living in the City so we've been looking in the town's North of the City, Airdrie and the like. We've decided Didsbury is about the furthest we'll be going.
Close to downtown as I'd definitely prefer a short bus/train ride or be able to walk to work.
Otherwise I'd be in the country but land is far too expensive for me.

Same here, withing 15mins of the city limits. Probably S/SW/SE of the city. 1-3ac would be nice.Originally posted by Thaco

We just recently moved out of the city, SW of Calgary. By far the best decision we've made. Life is so much more relaxed, neighbours are so much more friendly and overall a slower pace of life.Originally posted by Thaco

Take me an extra 10 minutes of driving each way than when I used to live in Hawkwood...but I drive into an incredible mountain backdrop.
yeah i was looking at some property out by strathmore, and some up northeast near beiseker, and honestly it'd probably take me an extra 10 minutes to get to and from work each day, but i'd much rather spend my time driving at 100km/h, rather than 10km/h, it'll take longer, but be much less frustrating.

So very true. I probably will spend an extra $600/year on fuel and a few extra minutes/day driving, but I almost never sit in traffic and drive home with cruise set @ 90 instead of bumper to bumper.
they should just make the NE calgary it's own country.

Just recently bought inner-city (South Calgary). Any time of day, I can get to or from DT to home in <10 mins. Cab rides home from the bars or Saddledome after a Flames game are no more than $15.
Last week I had to make a trip from the Kennsington to the ~Macleod / Heritage during rush hour and I'd forgotten how much I hated traffic. If I had to spend anymore than 20 mins in that each day, I'd off myself... I don't know how you out-of-towners do it
