Texas Mile Lambo Crash at 200+MPH

This is from this past weekend.

Amazing that the driver is ok. He clocked the 1 mile mark at over 230mph!!!

The texas mile has pretty relaxed safety requirements for these cars. Fortunately this lambo was properly equiped.

Hopefully the mile will now require better safety and this will be a wakeup call. There are a lot of 200+ mph cars there without a full cage!

I'm not a professional drag racer but can someone chime in and say what he did wrong? Ron?

Are you supposed to turn on the chute right away or slow down a little then let it loose? Maybe he slammed the brakes?

Wasn't there another underground racing video of their 1000+hp lambo or ferrari, where everytime the owner let off the throttle it spun out? They blamed the other video of it being the guys first time with over 1000hp, but I think somethings wrong with the way they built the drivetrain, or haven't compensated for something from the factory.

You are suppose to pull the chute at full throttle. There was pretty major crosswinds so that may have a lot to do with it.
