Apparently their discounts right now on guns are a joke... 5% isn't even worth discussing.
Yep, went to check it out today and the deals are pretty poor. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I went 9:00AM hoping to pick up some accessories,mags or reloading components but definitely nothing special deals wise;
Firearms & ammo: 5%
Firearm Accessories\Reloading: 10%
Gun Safes: 20%
fishing rods & reels : 10%
Fishing accessories: 20%
Optics: 10%
Clothing: 20%
Knives: 10%
Fishing lures: 30%
Fishing line: 20%
Ended up just picking up fishing stuff. Hour line up to pay, and the gun counter was nuts. Considering how busy it was, the place will be empty in no time.
Where do you go shooting? Trying to find some new places that are rifle friendly.
I haven't been as active in the sport as of late ( got a bit spooked by the effect of recoil on my detached retina a few years back) but I am trying to make the effort to get back in. My buddy is trying to get me to join his range south of the city ( name is escaping me ) but it sounds like a really cool spot. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Historically I have shot mostly crown land or the old homestead range that got shut down, another friend has a farm in the family that we pop out to as well for gopher extermination.
That and CSC for in city shenanigans where i can use my handguns. My buddies range allows the use of restricted so that's a pretty compelling proposition for me.
Not really a helpful comment sorry... as I'm sure you understand finding places to shoot is complicated these days.

Milo? I've been there on a day pass, heck of a range.
Probably Milo. Owned by CDTSA which also operates a small range in Shepard. I've been a member for a few years now. Last I heard there's a waiting list to get in as a new member.

I tossed myself on the waitlist for this year but won’t hold my breath.

Would anyone have a use for a Collimator? PM for further details
Hey guys quick question. How long does it normally take to get your PAL & RPAL, I did the restricted and unrestricted test and submitted both at the same time around end of October 2018 and still haven't received it. Does it usually take 6+ months, Ive called several times and they always tell me to call back in 3 weeks
If they haven't called any of your references, then you can expect to keep waiting.
Yea make sure you pick references who will actually pick up the phone. That’s the longest part of the wait.

If you answered yes to this question expect to wait 8-12 months. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
AKA do you take maintenance medication for anxiety or depression.During the past five (5) years, have you threatened or attempted suicide, or have you suffered from or been diagnosed or treated by a medical practitioner for: depression; alcohol, drug or substance abuse; behavioural problems; or emotional problems?
Otherwise 4-6 months is typical if they can get a hold of your references. You can call 1-800-731-4000 extension 9026 for the Chief Fire Arms Office and request they send a note to the officer assigned to your file once every 30 days. Besides contacting your MP that's about all you can do.

Holy shit, is that how long it takes now?!
I got mine mailed out within 1-2 days of the minimum wait time. You can also have your references call in rather than waiting for a call unless something has changed. Back when I did it, it didn't seem hard at all to make sure it took the minimum time unless they have other concerns about your application.
^+1
But that was a long time ago.

I took another course 3-4 years ago after mine elapsed. There was quite a large difference in wait times in the group I was with. I think I was around 2 months but some were double that for no obvious reason.
Anyone have the CZ Scorpion? Looking at getting one...
I got mine in September last year and I only had to wait the minimum. They didnt even call any of my references as I checked with them when I got my license in the mail. It seems to vary alot according to gun nutz
