Well people with too much to lose will turn them in, but there are loads who won’t I agree.

Personally my sticking point will be making sure I am fairly compensated, meaning ~3k for my XCR and another ~3.5k for my HK223. Much less than that and I consider participating in a lawsuit.

At this point my plan is to cut my losses and roll the money into a precision rifle build. Buy a barret or an AI or something fun.

Maybe pick up an ISSC SCAR22 to use my accessories on and for action shooting.

That and he was a psycho with his planning and rcmp vehicle and uniform. Then the rcmp not notifying people for like 10 hours about said vehicle and also shooting at the barn whatever with innocent people and also another rcmp officer.

This is such a stupid "solution" to fix the problem... Yes, lets disarm the law abiding citizens by creating a law that will obviously stop the criminals (laws? what laws) from committing gun related crimes.

I am just happy the Vector is not on the list. The fact that they go through and ban the guns used in all of Canada's shootings just shows it is purely done as virtue signalling. Yes, because only guns used in prior shootings will be used in more shootings. You can get an SKS with a 30 round mag filled with the same 7.62 as an AK for under $500 haha.

Very glad I didn’t pick up an AR last year when I was heavily considering it.

This is another reason I love my shotguns. Simple, easy, fun to shoot and no one bats an eye at them.

This sucks. At least only 1 gun affected for me. Happy others not on the list but who knows, enjoy while it last. But I think bolt action rifles will be fine for a long time. Glad I started long range shooting last year so I’m happy with that. Be happy we have other guns to play with instead of an all gun ban.

Only if someone decides to start using them in mass murders. Im looking at some of the unrestricted, shorty (8-12") shotguns myself. Great all around weapon.

For anyone not recognizing it, its all about OPTICS - ban the most high profile guns, but not the ones that cause the most killings in Canada - lets ban illegal weapons!

The ban includes guns that have been used in past Canadian shootings, such as:

the Ruger Mini-14 that was used in the Ecole Polytechnique massacre in Montreal in 1989, and which the government estimates there are 16,860 currently in circulation in Canada;
the M14 semi-automatic that was used in the 2014 Moncton shooting, which the government estimates there are 5,230 in Canada;
the Beretta CX4 Storm that was used in the Dawson College shooting, which the government estimates there are approximately 1,510 currently in circulation; and
the CSA-VZ-58 that the gunman attempted to use in the Quebec mosque shooting, which the government says there are 11,590 in Canada
