    Excellent.

I don't know about the rest of you, but being armed does give me a slight sense of security of anarchy erupts.
I stopped in at cabelas to grab extra bullets. I chatted with a couple people and they said theres a lot of dooms day prepping going on. The bullets were definitely shorter on supply but I showed up right near close.

A buddy of mine grabbed a whole bunch of 12ga buckshot, couple crates of sks ammo and some level IV ballistic plates. He’s definitely ready for the apocalypse.

Buying plates is a next level move.

Got a bayo for this thing

Was bored this last weekend, with the weather being -20 and every event being cancelled. Decided to try my first woodworking project ever, sanded off that weird orange lacquer and gave it a nice stain instead.

    Looked pretty funny all stripped.

And looks way better now. Probably going to go shooting this weekend weather permitting.

    Nice work on the SKS!

I have one with an aftermarket stock.

I haven't used it in about 5 years, should it be thoroughly cleaned before taking it to the range? Also - best place to buy a crate of ammo for it?

    Cheers

a buddy picked up a henry mares leg back on boxing day. Had a bit of fun with it out at the range. It's an interesting choice I would have skipped over.

I was thinking about getting one then buddy told me about how he almost shot his foot off with it. I'll pass. But a full size henry is definitely on my wish list, just wish they came in .2XX caliber centerfires for coyote pelts.

I got a .22LR for varmint and plinking. Super basic for $399. I would love one in .357 but at that point a bolt action is more practical

If I were in Texas still I would say a 30-30 or .357 would be great for home defense. But I’m in Canada so I’m not saying that

Definitely check your gas tube. Mine was seized up solid, I clean stuff after shoots but those corrosive primers are something else. Never had a problem until I left it for a few years

Don't worry everyone, the liberals have solved gun crime
    https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/lib...iday-1.5549969

According to a document obtained by Radio-Canada, the list includes:

M16, M4, AR-10 and AR-15 rifles. Those styles were used in the Sandy Hook, New Zealand, Las Vegas and Orlando mass shootings. There are an estimated 83,572 in Canada.
Ruger Mini-14s, the type of firearm used in the École Polytechnique shooting. There are an estimated 16,859 in Canada.
Swiss Arms Classic Green carbines. There are an estimated 1,342 in Canada.
M14 rifles, used in the Moncton shooting. There are an estimated 5,229 in Canada.
Vz. 58 semi-automatic rifles, used in the Quebec City mosque shooting. There are an estimated 11,593 in Canada.
CZ Scorpion EVO 3 carbines. There are an estimated 1,813 in Canada.
Beretta CX4 Storm carbines, the type of firearm used in the Dawson College shooting. There are an estimated 1,513 in Canada.
Sig Sauer MCX and Sig MPX carbines and pistols. There are an estimated 1,000 in Canada.
Robinson Arms XCR rifles. There are an estimated 1,834 in Canada.

The list also includes two categories of firearms the government hopes to ban:

Firearms with a calibre (gun barrel diameter) of more than 20 mm. For example, a grenade launcher.
Firearms capable of producing muzzle energy of more than 10,000 joules.

The list does not include handguns. Blair has said the government will legislate new powers for municipalities to enact their own restrictions on handguns.

Might as well bring back the liberal gun registry. 1 billion pissed away wasnt enough.

Just more ideologically driven theft from citizens that will have literally no effect on crime or safety.

A+ policy from the libtards as per usual.

We are already projecting a quarter billion deficit this year, might as wel double it so Trudeau can make sure it takes future governments a good long time to break his record.

That’s hilarious that they think there are 1,800 XCRs in Canada. I wonder if they realize that anyone with a NR on the list is simply not going to turn it in?
