So as many of you know I came back from a stint in Kelowna working for an Outfitter company there. The job might not have been a good fit, but I did manage to snag this before I left. 9mm JR carbine with an added red dot open sight, and a magpul style forend grip.

Excuse the bathtub shot..... I needed contrast.

Nice looking gun Kloubek. How does it shoot?

Side note, anyone have a Sig M400 Enhanced I can test shoot this weekend coming? Offered one on a trade and would like to see how it runs. I'll supply ammo, lunch and cover the range fee if needed.

It's excellent. The calibre keeps the recoil very controllable. So far, no jams or feed issues.

Are there any good outdoor ranges around Calgary besides Homested range?

Don't know how I never saw this thread. Just sent in for my PAL/Restricted on Monday. Pretty excited to get my own gun. I have been out to silver willow a few times now and that was lots of fun so I am going to be looking to get a semi-auto shotgun once I get my licence. Does anyone have any ideas, around $1k. I was figuring something like a Beretta A300?

Yup, I just attended my orientation for the CDTSA gun club last sunday. The membership is good for both ranges. I have yet to check out the milo range. Hoping to check it out either this weekend, if not, the following weekend

Bill C-42, know as the Common Sense Firearms Licensing Act, has been passed by the Senate. Royal assent is expected this Thursday and the reclassification of the Swiss Arms and CZ-858 rifles this summer.

    - CFSC is now mandatory, removes the ability to challenge the exams
    - Firearms prohibitions for violent offenders and those committing domestic assaults
    - Six month grace period for lapsed licenses
    - Gives the government the power of firearms classifications, no more RCMP BS
    - Makes the ATT part of the RPAL

Biggest change that will happen fast is the Swiss Arms and CZ-858 will be returned to their previous status before the RCMP started blathering about converted auto

Wow, those are very reasonable changes. I can't believe people would oppose these.

So we don't need a separate LTATT and STATT now? As long as we have our license when transporting a restricted firearm?
