I think you have to tell them because your car color is attached to your registration.

Figured I'll just bump this thread instead of making a new one...

I am wondering where can I buy some 3M CF wrap and gloss black wrap locally? And how much can I expect to spend on a roll? I want to take on some DIY projects trying to wrap little pieces and see if I can actually do it. I will order on ebay if I can't find anywhere locally. Thanks!

^ use NDgraphics. They have the best prices. Gloss is about $35/yard and CF is about $50/yard.

Do dents have to be removed or will this stuff go over it fine?

You would want to fix your dents first. Vinyl is still rather thin and will show imperfections below. Even when I wrapped interior panels, Cleaning and making sure there was no dust underneath was huge. Little dust particles would show as little bumps underneath the vinyl. This was using the CF 3M vinyl.

I'd be careful with gloss colors, they really show dirt/rain drops, streaks from drying your car etc. I used gloss once a few years ago and it was a big mistake. Patterns or matte finishes are way easier to manage.
We stopped checking for monsters under our beds when we realized they were inside us.

I have my roof wrapped in gloss from Icon and I know what you mean. Although the material he used is quite resistant to all this stuff so I've had no major issues with it so far. It's only been a few months though.

For my interior DIY project, I ended up ordering a CF roll and a tool kit from ebay for like $70. I hope it isn't too hard to do the wrapping of interior trim cause I generally have very little patience. lol

Car looks awesome man, well done.

You said your paint was bad before.. .like how bad? Rock chips or just scratches?

My entire front bumper is covered in tiny rock chips... so much so that it almost has a dull look to it rather than shiny, it feels like sandpaper haha. I'm thinking this will show through and I probably won't want to wrap, given that's the case...

    Thanks!

    Re:fucked paint

Yup, chips, egg marks, rust, you name it... but you have to make sure the surface is smooth or you will see it through the paint, spent a while prepping everything and just rattle canning it... which was a mess, but at least smooth

Looking for information on this as well, more for the clear paint protection though. Is there a beyond sponsor that does this?
