Default Questions About Dragon Warrior II

I play a little bit and then read the walkthrough to make sure I didn't miss anything. Play a little bit more, read the walkthrough. So I'm doing it on my own but there's one point where it says to climb the stairs to the top of the north Dragon's Horn tower and randomly search the floor tiles until I find the Dew's Yarn. WTF? Is this required? How are you supposed to know to do that?

I'm hoping there's someone here who can remember something from a 15 year old Nintendo game.....

Scratch that, one of the characters mention the location. It's mentioned too early in the walkthrough.

While you're playing classic NES RPG's, be sure not to miss Mother 1 - 3 (earthbound prequels on the nes) although you may need to get the gameboy advance carts or roms to play as the originals are in Japanese.

Famicom games? I just finished Dragon Warrior, I'm working on II now and plan on going up through all of them. I think I'm set for a while! Off and on I've been playing this one for a few years as I'm pretty busy with other things.

Wow that was a pretty specific question hahaha.

I think DW3 was the best one. DW4 was also a gooder.
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague.”

DW3 is the one where you can recruit your own team, and keep selling off the soldier gear at the start of the game to raise funds...

DW4, is where you play through the chapters with chapter 3 being where you work in the shop as taloon, and chapter 5 ties them all together... PLUS A CASINO! aww shit.. I spent soo much time in there trying to get that damn metal babble shield...
