Default Can a Audi or vw sales person confirm?

I ran into a Audi owner a few years ago that had an S4 that was orange (similar to the limited edition mk5 gti). I remember quite vaguely she said that it's possible to get color options from the other brands under the vw umbrella but when I called the local dealerships they didn't know WTF I was talking about. Can someone confirm if this option is real or just a myth?

Agreed - Audi exclusive paint costs about $4k extra I think. There was a green RS4 in the states a couple years back (the dealership special ordered it). Same bright green they use on Porsche' so maybe you can 'crossover' the brands

Oranges I've seen on both Audi and VW are "Glut" and "Papaya".

There is also Electric Orange and Solar Orange (R8), Perle orange and Borealus Orange (Lambo), to name but a few.

It's amazing how much the dealers don't know about the cars they sell and their options.

I would imagine so - because that's where they're built (Audis anyway - some, if not all North American VWs are built over here I think) so it may not be true for them. I'm no expert though, so don't quote me.

I would assume so as you are paying a good premium and it is made in europe.

Someone did this one on the vwvortex, the 911 lime green on an s5

In that thread it also states as a ballpark for usd
Audi will paint your car any color for around ~$4000.

Non-standard Audi colors will cost you $2500.

Its called Audi exclusive, and its $3,500cdn for any color i the Audi lineup. That use to include Porsche, but they have since changed that, and the upcharge is larger. $5k IIRC?

You can also do custom interiors as well.

One thing to note, its not available on all vehicles...you'd have to check with the dealer.

it is and isn't available to all.. the dealer has to want to work with you.. and you will wait 6-12months easily to get the car

that being said you can get some pretty amazing one of a kind stuff done

    According to their web site:

"Audi Exclusive program is currently available for the A8 and R8 models, in Canada."

I think Jettas, and some Golfs, are the only VWs made here. My GTI was manunfactured in Germany, as are the Touareg and Passats, I believe.

i was thinking about a S4 last month and working with Royal Oak Audi, and the salesman said they were willing on anything, and had done some custom TTs and other cars as well out of that dealership.

I believe you are able to do it with more then the A8 and R8... Definitely the S4 and Q5... (Ive seen S4's that have it, and was quoted on a Q5 a few months back)

They typically allow it on most models...

Right. I meant here as in North America, but I should have been more specific.

You can definitely do exclusive color for S4.

There is at least 1 Imola Yellow and 1 Solar Orange S4 out east.

Nice looking but I think coupes pull off exotic color better than sedans.

Yeah I know. That's why I thought it odd that their web site says A8 and R8 in Canada
