    Default Zipdoas challenge

Greetings all those who frequent the BB/WT forum!

So here's the deal, I've been weight training since I graduated from HS but in the past few months I've started slacking and been focusing completely on work. I am friends with the guys behind Dynamis and have proposed a "before" and "after" experiment with their supplements.

I am currently 6'7, 210lbs and not sure whether I am ecto or endomorph. My goals are to gain 40lbs of muscle in 6 months. Realistic or not, I like to set my goals high to encourage hard work.

Here's a picture of me last year @ 240lbs. Please disregard Tupac, I am no gangster. Maybe someone will be able to tell my body type from the picture?

My routines have always been straight-forward, working out 4 days on, 2 days off. I like to begin my first month or two of training working core and complete muscle groups (push/pull/chin ups), after which I will start isolating muscle groups when I work out.

I've never done a lot of research on what type of excersizes or sets or food I should eat, as stuffing my face and busting my ass doing 3 sets of 10 for every excersize has worked well for me. What I'm looking for from beyond is advice or suggestions on what to work, eat, and how to approach it. I know cardio can be important, so i'm dedicating a few hours a week on my roadbike.

I will before/progress/end result photos shortly.

Keep in mind this will be a clean build, steroid free, but for those who are interested I do have to take 1ml/week of delatestryl due to a medical condition which results in my body producing zero testosterone.

Any information, advice or encouragement is greatly appreciated... this will be a fun 6 month journey!

    So simple.

    www.stronglifts.com

Everything you need to know is on that site.

To bulk is to eat. If you can't eat, drink milk and lots of it. Up to a gallon a day haha Make sure you lift hard though.

The usual, squat, deadlift, bench press, shoulder press, dips, chin/pull ups.

Gaining 40lbs will be no problem my friend.

Great way to start the weekend! Goofing around with my roommate, and ended up severely dislocating my knee. I have bilateral luxating patellas so this isn't a first but it is definitely the worst its ever been.

Being really high on Morphine is really the only thing going for me here.

    small update:

started rehabilitation at U of C... some of the electrolosys machines they use are incredible. Pretty soon I should be starting leg presses (2.5lbs leg presses! 500 - 1000 reps!) and working on gaining strength back in my leg.

    down, but not out!

    Small update:

I'm walking around somewhat normally - It's nice to be able to do shopping without using a disability cart. Hopefully I'll be back at work in 2 weeks.

Doc says my IT band is so tight that it's likely what caused the patella to slip out of place, and then bending my knee as it slipped forced it out of place and over to the side of my knee. I've been doing all sorts of excersizes to build up the smaller muscles in my knee, but at this point in time my biggest limiting factors are:

Bending range of the knee (Last week was 110', this week is 140')

Stabilizer muscles. Sometimes I'll be walking and it feels like my leg just about gave out. It forces you to actively think about how your foot is making contact with the ground and what muscles to activate in your leg. Definitely annoying.

I think in 2 weeks I'll also be ready to hit the gym - obviously I won't be squatting big weight for quite some time but at least I can get a start on the rest.

Anyone who's reading this and has suffered any sort of muscle injury, I urge you to get a Cryo Cuff! This little machine has brought down my swelling considerably since I started using it and I firmly believe it's sped up my recovery time.

    That's all...
