I haven't played with a Z but will be this afternoon. But the SGS is a nice friggen phone as that is what i have now. I have read some reviews on the Z hinge keyboard and some say its sloppy and poorly designed.

I am looking to dump my SGS but i am waiting for the new nexus or the Droid 2 world (both of which should be coming in the next few weeks)

I've been through 4 HTC phones and never had a single issue with any of them.

When the SGS came out, I thought about getting one... but after hearing how many people have had problems with theirs, I'm glad I didn't.

I wouldn't hesitate at all to recommend an HTC product.

But I'd probably stick with the regular HTC Desire if you don't need the keyboard...

Personally I'm waiting until one of the North American carriers gets the Desire HD

HTC > Samsung when it comes to mobiles.

With my experience with the Galaxy S Vibrant on Bell I would go with HTC, the quality is much better, Samsung quality is shit. The screen on the Galaxy S is nice but the rest of the phone is cheap. Not to mention they seem to die or crap out alot.

I've been a huge fan of my plain old HTC Desire, I'd reccomend one.

I just got the samsung captivate (an updated version of the galaxy S). No problems so far... I'm loving how fast this thing is.

HTC is nice too... i guess it depends on if you are a power google user or a microsoft fan...

My friend who works for bell said, they had 56 returns so far for samsung galaxy (within 30 days), 0 for torch and 0 for iphone (so far) at his store, he also said the build was really crappy and they're pushed to move that phone. Always have stock of that. He did mention how swype was awesome though.

I am a SGS owner and I LOVE THE PHONE. Despite that, there are some minor issues with it that you have to work around. I will admit that HTC is probably king when it comes to build quality although I cant comment on the slide out hinge.

The Desire has Android 2.2 out of the box where the SGS is still awaiting its official release.

Swype is an amazing perk on the SGS, for me that would be the deal maker right there but there are so many other wins. My assumption (could be wrong) is that you as a realtor would benefit from the slide out keyboard.

In conclusion, without taking into account the physical keyboard, if you are more tech savvy I would go with the SGS, if you want a phone that will work great out of the box and requires little tinkering go with the HTC. My honest opinion is you cant go wrong either way and extra points for choosing Android as I firmly believe it will come out on top of the smart phone race.

I've always been a huge HTC fan, but really want to try one of those SGS. And as strange as it is I have a Sony X10 right now.

I have a Z in my hand right now. My honest opinions....yuck. The keyboard is hard to use and akward. The Z hinge feels like a night out the boys and it would net me two halfs of a phone.

Its HEAVY too. Twice the weight of the SGS. The screen is a bit too narrow and the soft buttons are hard to target.

The software is great. Its froyo so i didn't expect anything less but the design of the phone leaves me returning it tomorrow. (unless someone wants to pay me cost for it lol)

I am waiting for a Droid 2 world. That is suppose to have the most intuitive keyboard on the market. If i am moving from a soft to hard keyboard, this is the only one that might stand a chance.
