Those numbers are not at all impressive. Motor Trend claims a 4.5 Second 0-60 how could it be a full second off from edmunds?
the 2011 sti is slower from 0-60 and the 1/4 mile. it also has lower skidpad numbers and longer braking distances. according to motortrend.com the 2011 car does 0-60 in 5.0 secondsOriginally posted by 94boosted

not bad not bad.
I can believe it as these cars are pretty hard to launch right. To get anywhere under 5s 0-60 you have to abuse the car pretty badly so those numbers are not really relevant in real world. Trap speed is more indicative of how fast it is IMO.Originally posted by 94boosted

they need to do a major refresh of the car and get it away from the current wrx. I still like the older wagon ones though. those would be a sweet winter beater
hmmm I could of sworn I just read a couple weeks ago it was either 4.5 or 4.8 sec for the new STi, maybe it wasn't motor trend.Originally posted by gpomp

I can't beleive they allowed for this thing to be slower than the old STi![]()
Couldn't agree more this thing needs to be making 330 - 340HP. If the WRX went from 225 -> 265 why the hell didn't the STi get a bump in powerOriginally posted by Phenix

Subaru seems to be pulling a honda with their wrx sti. it's a good car but nothing signifcantly has been changed in the power train since 2004 when the first Sti came out
