    Default 09 Jeep SRT8

Bought it new in April 09 and slowly been modding it since.

    stock it ran a 13.3 @ 106mph

now has: AFE cai, 180 thermostat, 85mm ported tb, borla s exhaust and custom CMR diablo predator tune

exterior: blacked out led taillights/3rd brake light/rear fogs, blacked out wheels, stillen headlight covers, 4300k hid in foglights, front/rear bumper chrome strips done in black, chrome window trim done in black, side moldings smoothed and painted black

interior: stock except for weathertek floor mats

the cai/tb/diablo programmer are getting pulled out and im awaiting the new TVS2300 Magnacharger setup for it and should have the 7.x stroker engine on its way as well.

    exhaust sounds like:

    Nice 8!

I have a similiar setup. How much did the Custom vs. Predator tune make and how much difference did the AFE intake make.

I have a 180T but haven't put it in yet, but I'm down in AZ and think it would make a difference.

Not many of these down in AZ. Gets lots of attention, especially with the Borla!

the intake/tb/custom tune made a massive difference.

tune $ all depends who you deal with but regardless gotta buy the predator. even then the intake/canned tune makes a difference.

with the 180 t stat, you will need to get a locking rad cap or it will spray over the engine bay and need the predator to adjust your fan settings so it works properly

the borla s is awesome and the best exhaust imo, cant wait to get the stroker in there with the headers/cam, these things sound frickn evil with a cam/headers.

you looking to buy a predator/intake for yours sometime soon, im currently looking to sell my tb/intake/predator

I have the Predator already. I used the canned tune for now. made a small difference. I have the Borla as well. I AM looking for a AFE intake, are you selling? Is this the AFE 2?

Who did your custom tune? I hear Diablo Tune is the best.

Better have a Paramount transmission on that list, too.

Damn that is clean! Just needs a drop to reduce that huge wheel gap!

What kind of power are you hoping to make with a super charger and stroked engine?

doubt it will get lowered as its my daily driver and winter is coming up. however it will probably get the upgraded sway bar links to tighten up the front end.

and with the s/c and stroker in, im going for 850+awhp

Im assuming he's putting a stroked crate motor in it + blower + cam + others...850 is a HUGE number but I don't think he'll be that far off.
Hennessey's turbo jeeps are doing 620AWHP//650AWTQ Id love to see what it realistically makes when its done.

There is a TT SRT8 that puts down 1000. So a supercharger and stroker is probably do-able.

First off, Hennessey is a hack.

There are Jeeps running 9's is the 1/4 mile now with stock wheels to boot and making 1200 hp. His goal of 850hp is very reasonable and done many times by others. 1000hp at the crank with 20 psi + alcohol / race fuel will do this reliably on a 400+ ci stroker and a little nitrous will certainly make up the difference if needed.

I don't think 350 awhp is too tough on a 2.x litre, so imagine a 7.x litre with boost. The drivetrains on the SRT Jeep are also amazingly tough, every compared to a heavy-duty pickup.

throwing in a fully built 7.x stroker in it which usually makes about 500ish @ the wheels just by itself without headers/boost and such

shop thats building my engine has their own jeep putting down 1200+awhp right now and runs 9's

if i posted in my cavalier thread i was going for 500+whp youd probably have thought it was far fetched, this time im using a platform with aftermarket support/vendors/r&d behind it

the jeep will be alot cleaner than the car, that was my learning car i guess and have matured over building that

i went from 128whp on my cavy and now have it making 538whp on a 2.4L. only a boost of 410whp, im very confident that ill make my goal hp and not have any reliability issues at all

My Supervisor has a 2010 SRT-8 jeep and has the Vortec supercharger on it and it put down 596hp to the wheels. He has a full aftermarket exhaust and now headers, teh numbers were done right after the supercharger install. Headers were put on after the dyno.

That's very true...now that I tihnk about it and put it all into perspective...the 7.x L Stroker is gonna be your ticket
Just curious? Why are you going the blower route and not turbocharged? Reliability? Cost? Availability?
