First winter with a car that has winters (Accord, not gonna drive it a ton), but gonna keep the sipped mudders on the Jeep since they have already been through winter and worked fine. Need something to get home after the city plows the street closed.

Gotta admit, I am surprised we made it till Nov 15 without a crazy snow fall.

We've been lucky and had a pretty temperate winter so far but I'm finally ready for snow. Getting excited to go snowboarding.

I have the same tires, just not studded. They were awesome last winter

Look at the camera between Hinton and Jasper. That's the storm that's on the way here I think

Great, once it storms, its like a 1.5 hour drive from Royal Oak to Downtown. I am NOT looking forward to dealing with all the stupid drivers tomorrow.

I started keeping track 4-5 yrs ago, and every time we get more than 48 hrs notice it never happens and is extremely lame. I LOVE big snow dumps on the road and the only good ones are never advertised. This is especially true for the 'first' snow storm of the year when they try to scare all the bald-tired sh*t boxes off the road.

I'd bet that the same first storm warning of every year generates almost the same exact thread as this every year too.
    Will fuck off, again.

I love a ton of snow on the roads. I love when it starts snowing Saturday night, snows all day Sunday and then you go out on Sunday night and it is quiet, dead on the roads, and a lot of fun.

Last year I put on 500 km of city driving on a single weekend touring all the Home Depot and mall parking lots in the middle of the night. (new Nokians on the Subaru) Loads of fun driving around stuck city buses and through mirror height snow drifts in a 6" ground clearance car. I couldn't get my 8000lb Chev HD out from in front of my house, but the car sure could.
