give it a solid shoulder
the door.... dont hit the glass
haha hate it when that happenz after a car wash or something,.I have gotten locked INSIDE once in the pathfinder.....had to crawl to the trunk area and luckily the rear glass window opened. I got out of the pathy through there......people were looking at me like "wtf is this idiot doing" ahahha...
open the hatch and crawl in, then push from the inside
Hahah, its so funny... but it happens to me all the time. It isnt even after car washes, just if it gets really cold, snows a lot and I try to get in to my car in the morning. Usually I can get one of the four doors open, and then crawl in from there, but its a real pain in the ass.
Do you drive a Sunfire? My brother says that it's a Sunfire thing..
I managed to get a good hair dryer to work on time. It did take a while though.

if you dont want this to happen after you wash your car make sure you dry the door sill and all the rubber weather stripping
and also drive you car arround for about 20 to 30 min after with the heat full on, try and get rid of as much moisture in the car as possible this will help prolong the life of anything inside the car... IE trim leather, vinyl
I've had this happen. Really stupid of me to wash my car in -30C weather. I parked it at home (semi-heated garage) for a day and thought everything was good. Went out, and bam, couldn't close the door. Ended up driving with the door open to my work (heated underground), parked it there for 3 hrs and everything defrosted.
I guess when it's cold, water doesn't evaporate too well. You really need a hair dryer or indoor parkade for a few hrs .

Curse you imageshack..
Man i wanna see someone steal a car and get locked/frozen inside that would be a classic owning
Rev high, ride low.
this shit happens to my jetta all the time, my passanger side door just won't open. about 10 minutes ago, my brother had to crawl in from the drivers side into the pasanger. it is a pain, but by my car it is allways only the passanger side door.
i would buy a new car, one with unfreezable doors
Just chop them, less weight car go faster. Who needs doors anyways.....
Rev high, ride low.
Through the hatch/trunk
Ive had that happen , ive also had my key not fit in the lock because it was frozen lol

spay some lock de-icer in the crack and the lock, you can buy some at canadian tire im sure. I work at an autobody shop and thats what we use!
I bet 99% of the people who buy de-icer put it in their glove box...Originally posted by B69

i just did that this morning, damn its freaking cold lately
I spray WD-40 on a rag then go over the rubber around the door, this will usually work fine for a about a month.
or if your real brave use a silicon based product.
