    Default F150 tire dilemma

haha. So I figured I could do one winter season on the stock Scorpion ATRs. It wasn't bad this morning. I had about 200 lbs of weight in the back and didn't need 4x4 once. ABS never kicked in. I still prefer winter tires.

So, what would you do in this case.

Off roading interests me. Wonder if the stock ATRs are any good at that? haha

Duratracs with studs? (Probably could be used off road).
Blizzak DMV1? (Can't be used off road).

I bought take-off 17" wheels to use as a winter set. They came with Hankook dynapro RF-08 A/T tires:

If I replace them with either of the above tires, I don't think I have a hope of selling them.

Do I just sipe those tires? haha wonder how well that works.

for Duratracs.. highly doubt you'd need to stud them.
I had to drive the GF to work this morning because she couldn't get traction up the hill and the Ice/Snow didnt even phase the Duratracs on my truck

My dad has the Scorpions on his F150, they're relatively useless in deep snow of any kind. Go for the DuraTracs for general/snow use, by all accounts they also work quite well off-road.

First day in the snow with Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ's. No weight in the back of the truck and I had no problems on the side streets today (in 2wd). When I was on Deerfoot I did have it in 4wd though. I just prefer to use it since I have it.

These are my summer tires as well now. Don't see any point in using a dedicated winter tire when I have the option of 4wd (and yes i know about winter tires and stopping).

I'm actually going to be selling my tires/wheels. Just need to get a picture so I can list them. Going with a larger tire but most likely stick with the same brand/model.

I'm in the same position. Will be doing a lot of highway winter driving and the stock scorpions just don't cut it. Would I be better off with the Blizzaks?

    Family members have always used the Toyo M55...Toyo's propaganda says this;

The M-55 is an all-position traction radial designed to deliver versatility

and exceptional mileage with dependable traction on- or off-road.

Easily handles rough terrain, mud and snow. Built to handle the most demanding commercial applications.

Tires perform realllyy well on my Dad's 1/2 ton Ram and on his 1 Ton dually..

Only thing that Id have to give a negative review on is they are fairly noisy
