Cadence +1!!
Best coffee in town as far as I'm concerned, plus the setting is awesome, its in bowness, and they serve more than muffins and banana bread (all wins in my book)

Kawa for a date for sure! I'm there for lunch every couple days and I think the coffee and the food are great.
Phil & Sebastian's makes a great cup of coffee!
Forgot to mention Bumpy's.

Damn thats alot of coffee shops lol, yeah ill have to check out a few of those, even though the Tim hortons idea kind of sticks out haha
Dude Tim Hornton's f'in blows. The only reason people like it is because they have two cream and two sugar in it to mask how shitty it is.
When you have a cup of black and it tastes good (ie: not bitter or weird after-taste), you know you found the good stuff

Go order a cup of black from Tims, Starbucks, Second Cup, etc. If you can finish it all I'll be impressed - it is absolutely vile. After that, go try a cup from Cafe Artigiano, Deville, etc. and you will find you can actually taste the flavors in the coffee instead of burnt beans.
Most people hate black coffee because they've never actually had a good cup of coffee and their only experience with it is when someone got them a cup of black from Starbucks or whatever. I'd hate it too if that was my only experience.
Cafe Artigiano, I even buy their beans for home.

Timmy's is the only place where i can handle cream and sugar in my coffee, and for timmy's its a must.
I honestly dont mind second cup's black coffee, for a "fast food" cup of coffee.
But places like Cadence, Phil&Sebastians, and even most breakfast joints, black is the way to go.
AND...
I forgot to mention it, but 'The Bullet', on Northmount and 14th Street, right bestide Subway, is a crazy good little place too.
The thing with all the shitty black coffee like Starbucks, Tim's, etc. is that it is exactly the same price as a good cup of coffee from Cafe Artigiano or similar. Maybe 5 or 10 cents different. It's not like you need to pay a premium for a good cup of coffee, you just need to walk into a different coffee shop.
YES. Delicious coffees at P&S.Originally posted by Guillermo
Phil and Sebastian's. BY FAR the BEST coffee i've ever had in my entire life. Not kidding. Locations in Marda Loop and Chinook Mall.
I find their room design to be a bit sterile, though, and it can get pretty loud in the marda loop location, however, it's very upbeat and would probably be really good for a date. (I'm usually looking to work in a coffeehouse, though, so i don't like it for that reason.)
This, and they dont have neon lights on their building either haha..Originally posted by Mitsu3000gt

I was known by name at the Timmy's right by my work last summer too, just out of convenience.
Im done with that crap now though. Over did it probably hah.
I always get triple cream and triple sugar with my Tim Horton's coffee, I can never drink the stuff black, but if people consider it vile maybe I can find coffee I don't need to drown in sugar.
The sausage breakfast wrap is pretty damn good though!
Hell, even McDonalds coffee is better than Timmys
I keep forgetting to try theirs! I've always heard good things.

Not anymore
McDicks is alright, but I am addicted to Timmies. I know its garbage, but I consider Tims coffee the equivalent of my cigarette habit. - cheap and plentiful

hey, for anyone who hasn't tried Phil & Sebastian, and is listing somewhere else as their favorite coffee, i highly encourage you to get your ass over there asap, and try it out.
I, too, slept on P&S for about a year, thinking it couldn't live up to the hype i had heard. i couldn't have been more wrong. it's seriously the best coffee i've had in my entire life. i'm not kidding.
Ya man and if I'm feeling junky that day, I'll grab a donut or two as well lolOriginally posted by Tomaz

I usually don't agree with this raving lunatic but he's correct on P&S. I avoided this place for the first little while but the first latte I had almost brought tears to my eyes.
I will actually comtemplate going to Chinook Centre just for a coffee.
