Compustar 2W900FMR (3000) issue..help

Ok...this started happening a couple days ago.

When I arm/disarm or start my car, the remote doesn't give me confirmation beeps. It doesn't seem to be getting feedback from the car either indicating whether the car has been armed/disarmed or started.

The car does get arm/disarm and started.

And also, I noticed that after I shut off the car, I get the alarm tone from the car eveyr 5 seconds about 3-4 times.

Any ideas? I can't seem to find anything in the user guide.

I changed the battery too.

This stared happening with mine as well. I was told that it was either the antenna or the remote. I borrowed a remote from a family member and paired to mine and it worked fine, I paired mine to thiers and it did the same thing. So the remote is not working correctly. Need a new one if you want the 2 way to work. There is a lifetime warranty on the Compustar so if it is the antenna it should be warrantied.

Happened with mine too, with the same brain. I replaced the remote, the antenna, now just patiently (grrr) waiting for the brain to be replaced........It was neither of those two and it was definetly programmed for a 2 way....Just acted like a 1 way....Happened suddenly after about 3 months of working fine

OK...

It turns out that the alrm tone that I get every 10 seconds 3 times is warning me my car is about to get armed by itself (30 seconds after your car shuts off). I must have activated passive arming recently by accident so I turned that off (II + III for 1/2 sec).

But my remote is still not receiving signal back from the car As per your guys suggestion, I will try someone else's remote first.

i believe this starter has some kind of recall on it, u might want to check that out

mine did this, i changed the battery and it was fine.
even though the remote said the battery was over half full

Only on this years model according to Future shop

you would have to bring it in to a compustar dealer and get them to check it out, or have someone with the same system let you borrow their antenna and remote just to test which is the problem
