You must be the retard if you thought that was serious...

The sleeping bag will help a bit as it came from inside a house, put into a warm car so it will gather heat inside and insulate somewhat.

So, they're making fun of you without explaining why. The difference between you and your xbox, besides the obvious plastic vs bag of mostly water bit, is that you generate heat constantly. Your xbox doesn't. So, putting your xbox in a sleeping bag won't really do anything because it's not constantly generating heat (unlike you). The sleeping bag will trap the heat (not gather it), slowing it's loss, but not stop it. So, eventually, because your xbox isn't generating heat, it will cool

As for leaving it in your car, there's really only two issues. The first is that if there are electrolytic capacitors, they can freeze. If you power up your xbox and the caps are frozen, well, it's not gonna work for long. I'm not sure if freezing them will destroy them, or if they'll be ok when they that. Can't remember that bit off the top of my head.

The other issue is condensation. Water vapor condenses on cold stuff, like how your window gets ice in winter, or your car window fogs with your breath in winter. If that happens on your xbox and you turn it on, well, it's going to short out. Letting it warm let's it dry out first.

Damn man that was fucking retarded. In case you still haven't gotten it, your body generates a lot of heat. An xbox does not.

That and the xbox probably has more logic and intelligence in its chips than the OP has.

Because it was a serious question? You want to see a pic of it rolled up in a sleeping bag in my car right now?

Put a thermometer in with it so you can check the temp at the end of the day.
