Derek, Amazing work!!! Congrats on the House as well!! What a dream garage you scored.
Pictures do no justice in showing how much work this actually is, drilling, cutting, grinding, welding, more grinding, takes a lot of time, you make it look easy, and everything looks great.
I love seeing this kind of restoration, you gave me some great advice on welding panels a long time ago on my crx, and Ive spent the last year doing all this work, (not to the extent as with this eg), but both rear rockers, gas door, engine bay and both quarters. Pretty much teaching myself along the way and getting better at it.
I have a question about the inner wheel well. I see that you cut the inner wheel well arch (the bit that you roll after) where its spot welded from factory with the outer skin, and you welded up the outer skin along the body and rear.
What did you do on the inside to keep it rigid, because you rolled it later. Did you seam seal it, roll it, then fiberglass it?Im just curious. And what product are you using to oil or grease the insides with?
Sorry for writing you a book, Keep up the great work!! Cant wait to see more!
