Default Need help: many warning lights on (abs, vcd,air pressure monitoring etc.)

The car is a 2004 G35x. About a week ago the air pressure monitoring system light turned on, followed by the 3 more today (vcd, abs, slip, and air pressure monitoring).

    Anybody know what this means?

I'm taking it to the dealer tmrw, unless otherwise advised.

    Any help opinions/conclusions are appreciated.

Those older G35's are known for ABS problems, often its just a speed sensor, but it needs to be scanned for sure, otherwise your ABS and traction control will remain disabled.

Tire pressure monitoring is nothing to worry about, just confirm your pressures with a gauge.

    Ok thanks.

Any idea how much it should cost me?

    Really depends.

OH, just remembered, the brake switches are super common in the winter, and can disrupt the ABS signal, check to see if your lights work, it can point you in the right direction.

It is a US car, I have to manually turn on the headlights. Any other checks I should do? Thanks.

The cold weather drops the pressure in the tires, setting off the light once it drops below a certain threshold. Annoying, but nothing to worry about as long as you keep an eye on it.

Sorry, I misunderstood. The warning lights do not reset when the vehicle is restarted. I even disconnected the positive on the battery, reconnected and restarted yet still the lights warning lights remain illuminated.

It's going to the dealer on monday, thanks for everyones input.

Try disconnecting the neg. battery terminal for 10-12hrs to clear its memory (needs to be 10-12hrs). If it comes back right right away then there is a problem. My guess is either dirty wheel/abs sensor or your brake pads are too low (on my old g35, when brake pads would get low and need changing (even before any squeeling would start) the vdc/slip/abs would come on and stay on)

    Now that was funny.

Usually when it comes to the whole brake/TCS/VDC/stability control bs it's always one sensor that trips the whole g'damned Christmas tree dash. The stealership will charge you up the wazoo, take it to an import specialist for at least a diag.

I'd rather not take it to the dealeship but I don't know of any honest and reliable shops in town, if you have a suggestion of an import speciaist lemme know, thanks.

Tried the disconnect over night, no dice but thanks anyway.
My brake pads are just a few months old, thats out too.

Is it likely the dealer will replace rather than clean these sensors?.

please check your brake fluid level. it is a known problem that if your brake fluid is low, it will cause this exact problem. my guess is if you fill it up to the proper level, cycle the engine a couple of times they will usually go out....hope this helps!

Turned on the car yesterday and the lights are no longer on. Maybe the 10-12 hour disconnect worked after all, thanks for everyones input!

My guess is the tire pressure sensor was due to the cold. Very common, as the tire pressure is reduced in cold weather.

All the lights are almost for sure all on because of one issue. As stated, if a sensor is not working then it trips everything associated with the wheel systems. ABS, traction, stability etc.

Resetting it worked for now. Chances are they will come back on soon. I would say it is almost definitely a wheel sensor - abs/slip sensor. IF you scanned your computer when the lights were on, it would provide more detail.
