    Default Contest: Beyond's COLDEST job

Making a random contest. WHO HAS THE COLDEST job on Beyond

    How it works

    - Submit your entry of why you feel your job (parttime or fulltime) is the coldest .

Submission date: NOW, till December 15, 2010 @ 11:59pm (Beyond forum time)

    - Send a combination or partial of photos, description, a writeup of why you think your job is the coldest. The more you describe your job or the more unique it is, the more chances someone will vote for you. (i.e. I'd love to see if someone is working up top of the BOW doing welding or something)...

    How to Win
    - Top 3 winners will be VOTED by members

    Voting
    - Beyond members vote on December 16, 2010 12:00am till December 31, 2010

    The Prizes:

Each of the 3 winners, a set of (4) sweet ass Tom Co. designed Made In China "B" logo tire bags... (well, I'm still testing them out, the materials, the durability, cost effective, etc... but the winners will be the first set of ppl trying them out)

Features: Fully enclosed coverage (I don't like the ones on the market where the center area is open and the shit in the inner rim gets all over your seats/trunk), carrying handles, sexy silk like fabric (rain jacket material), velcro open/close.

    Contest conditions and Disclaimer
    - Must be Beyond member to enter
    - Must reside in Calgary, Alberta, Canada
    - Contest rules, regulations and conditions subject to changes and modifications without compensation or reasons by thread owner, and/or Beyond.ca officials and/or Canwest Media.
    - By entering contest, you release Tom Co Paintless Dent Repair Ltd. from any personal and/or property damages, injuries, deaths that may result in entering such contest.
    - Pickup of winning item must meet or conform to Tom Co Paintless Dent Repair set hours and location, if winner(s) can't meet requirement (i.e. don't want to pickup prize at set location), they could forfeit said prize after 3 attempts of meeting.
    - Winner of tire bags accepts all liability and responsible to keep tirebag(s) away from young children or infants to avoid suffocation of such child/infants.

Hell no, lol... iunno roughly up to 17's haven't tested on bigger rim/tire set, not sure if handles/material will hold the weight, and most ppl won't carry 18's with just a handle.

Sorry, so yea, for passenger car tires and non custom sizes, for now.

I'd enter (as a land surveyor) but I know some oil patch dude from Fort MacKay will win this.

Its a Hot Lime Softener...Im not 100% on how it works "exactly" but
its similar to what the city would use to "soften" water..this one is the
biggest design, another contractor (TIW) built it on site and we did all
    the tie-ins into it..ranging from 2" Sch.40 to 24" Sch.40. When it got
hydro-tested pressure at the top of the vessel was atmospheric and
pressure at the "cone" was only 19psi!!! iirc it held over 2million L of glycol!!

I make trips up to the North Slope, no pics though

It's honestly the worst cold I have ever felt in my life; a 100 foot walk from the camp to the rig feels like miles and the wind rips right through anything you wear.

The average temp while I was on location last winter was around -55 to -60...it's not right, not right at all haha.

I also have a fantastic story about trying to escape Alaska while Mt. Redoubt was erupting, but I will save that for another time.

No kidding. While I was a land surveyor I worked a few days up north. When you are outside for a constant 12 hours, holding onto a metal pole, Unable to wear gloves because then you can't write legibly. That sucks. And the best part, no hills, no trees in sight for cover.. Just open fields... Pure northern arctic windchill. I don't think I've ever been so cold in my life.

Ouch, feel for you man... I'd say you're up there... Unless we get some ice truckers, seal clubbers, etc... I wanna see someone working up top at the BOW, with windchill.

    - And your job don't have to be in Calgary... just trying to keep it a local contest, so as long as you're a Calgary RESIDENT (or have family here, or some sort of ties in Calgary)

Yep, just submit some pics, describe the job you do (that makes your job the COLDEST), etc... If people "feel" for you, they'll vote.
