Save Race City
Good evening guys n' gals --
There's an underground movement afoot to save Race City -- and this one has its own stickers!
We have one last year to really rally around our track, and attempt to save it -- one last year. If we can get the rest of this city to open its eyes and realizing what a thriving motorsports community depends on that track, maybe -- just maybe -- we can get city council to help save the track in some form.
Don't think for a minute that losing Race City means we'll just get a bigger, better facility -- Vancouver's still waiting on Westwood to be replaced. We won't be any different.
To show your support, get yourself one of these stickers, and pop it on your car window, or your motorcycle helmet.
You can get your sticker at these fine locations (FREE):
Blackfoot Motorsports
Davenport
RCTS
Redline Motorsports
Tunerworks
Walt Healy Motorsports
I've already got my sticker. Even on my tiny car, it shows up really well.
If we are seen, they can't ignore us. People will start asking themselves what's so special about the track, and hopefully, they'll find out. WE know why it's important -- but if the rest of the city doesn't care to know, nothing will happen.
Let's give it one last try -- we've enjoyed that track for so long, it deserves the effort.
PS ---- there is a page on Facebook. Look for "Save Race City" (with the sticker) and become a fan -- there will be updates there on sticker supplies, and places to share stories and photos from everyone's experiences with it. We need to show Calgary why this track is more than just some pavement between a dump and a swamp!!
