Two temp jobs come to mind.
Worst, delivering drywall with Shoemaker Drywall. Spend all day lifting two sheets of fourteen foot drywall. Fuck my hands hurt after that. Did it for one shift, and ran. Boss man said nobody lasts more than two days.

Best, worked the night shift in a fertilizer factory. it sounds bad, but putting shit in bags is pretty low stress, and the guys there were all decent, and I got a bit of a workout too. Did that for a couple months after university instead of getting my "real" job.

Now I'm an engineer, and it's both the best and worst job, depending on the day. Some days i wish i was back working with manure . . .

You realize you are talking to the guy who made his own furniture out of salad bowls right?

The most tiring, dangerous, relentless and physically demanding job I have ever done. I used to get home, scarf down a huge dinner and literally pass out until the alarm went off the next morning at 3:00am. My entire body hurt every day from that, was just a brutal job.
10$/hr... was that 20 years ago?

From my days in logging, 1/2 the time was spent driving around the bush getting to a site.... not that a Choker didnt have it hard when they did work!

I can actually say I've never really hated any of my jobs. Superstore when I was gr 10, 11? That was a gong show, a lot of my friends worked at the same Superstore and we'd always just mess around. Made that place fun.

Fido for the last year and half? That was slack, good co workers, pretty decent pay for being in college. Slack managers, slack co workers, no one ever got on anyones case about anything, come into work hungover as hell and just recover.

Currently loving my new job even more as a project controls specialist.

Worst: Superstore, it wasn't so bad but superstore just sucks balls.

Best: Xbox rep, played video games all day and got paid for it.

Worst? Probably back when I worked at the "potato factory" (Bassano Growers), it was just mind-numbing. Take paper bag full of potatoes, tape shut, stack on skid. Repeat 8hrs/day, or until your brain leaks out your ears. I did that for a few summers in high school, it blew. Came home every day with six pounds of dust in my nose, and the gross stuff you learn about food production boggles the mind. (I still love potatoes though. Weird.) On the other hand, I eventually moved up to forklift duty, which is something I really enjoyed. I drove fork at a few places after that during summers and I still miss it sometimes. I can still do the pick-a-penny-off-the-floor trick, haha.

Best? I like the gig I have now, it's pretty slack sometimes.

haha i loved driving forklift, i did it for a few summers, i started driving when i was like 15 at my dads company, with 0 experience or training they just told me to start unloading trailors, ahha. I could get pretty creative with it, i would pick up tiny shards of wood off the ground and drive them over to garbage cans to kill time haha

There were four of us and we all lived on the train in the same room in bunk beds. The guys were all insane, some hadn't seen their own homes in almost a year. It was long days starting shortly after 4 AM and working until 5 PM. The money was incredible but the job was awful. I lasted a month and that was easily the longest month of my life.

    Lol...

    Worst Job:
Cleaning Furnaces. Just generally gross, and the boss was a fuckin dick.

    Best job:
My current job, Rail Traffic Controller for CP Rail. I love almost everything about this job...The down sides of it have nothing to do with the job, just the schedule and some of the people...like them frickin sperry car operators :-P
