Are you looking for weight gainers or pure protein?

Whey isolates are best. I use this one called Iso Sensation, it's bit on a pricey side but has about 30g of protein per scoop and almost next to none amount of carbs/fats.

If you want the full effectiveness of Whey, take it pre or post workout. Otherwise for just a anytime type of protein powder id recommend a egg white or casein based powder.

I've been using BioX whey for a month or so and like it. Also tossing in a bit of gatorade powder with it.

I agree with your point, but I personally don't think having a few scoops of protein for 5 days is going to make or break my training vs saving 30-60 dollars haha.

Then again, I never wait till I'm right out to order some more!

^^ not bad there was an earlier thread on it, and quite a few ppl use it, really a large deciding factor for ppl with proteins are taste, cheaper tends to be nastier, more expensive tends to have a much better taste. Just get a good whey isolate and taste test a few

Good chance alot of fat was put on, there is no way you put on 10 pounds of muscle in one month unless you are juicing.

Really just get the one that tastes the best, protein is protein just eat like crazy

U can't put on 10lbs of muscle in a month, so ur protein might be adding fat

great bang for buck. on bb.com u can get a 5lb tub for around 40 bux

ive tried iso sensation, and its over-priced.

taking protein isnt magical, and i doubt that other brands that are twice as expensive will get you better results.

I use Whey Gourmet Naturelle and I love it. Not only is it the best tasting powder by a mile of the ones I've tried, but it has no preservatives, no fake sugar, etc. which was a must for me.

This is the exact stuff I buy all the time:
