    Default SR20DET not accelerating... :(

So some quick info before we get into this.

    1991 180sx
    -SR20DET redtop (stock)
-intake, exhaust, Graddy profec B spec 2 boost controller, battery relocation kit (well grounded), and a 255 fuel pump, Greddy FMIC.

    - after 10 minutes of driving it almost feels like I have 100HP
    - It happens when I accelerate out of 1st or 2nd mostly.
    - usually slow accelerating or fast accelerating make it happen.
    - You can hear the turbo spool and it shows 13psi but the car doesnt move...
    - It sounds like im doing 150 km/h and im doing 40 km/h lol.
    - I went through all the FMIC piping and its perfectly fine. Couldn't possibly be the FMIC piping because it runs fine until about 10 minutes, and this issue is consistant around 10 minutes. a boost leak would happen 24/7?
    - Its like something triggers the motor to not go....

    Any feedback is much appreciated.

first thing that comes to mind is the coil packs, is it miss firing when this happens? when the coils starting to go when they get hot it can exaggerate the issue more (like shorting to the block instead of working properly

The way you described it sounds like a motor seizing. But it's back to normal every time you cold start it?

    Also what does this:
It sounds like im doing 150 km/h and im doing 40 km/h

    mean?

Wait so does it gradually lose power and then not have power, or does it happen suddenly and then not have power randomly but normal other times?

Sounds like you're doing 150 and actually doing 40?

Does this perhaps mean the engine is revving high while you're going slowly? I'm pretty sure it's not but maybe mad clutch slip when you floor it in 1st and 2nd?

It just all of a sudden happens when I accelerate out of first or second after 10 minutes of driving.

The car is perfectly fine when I start it every morning but after 10 minutes of driving it just all of a sudden has no power.

When it happens, I go full throttle and it sounds like im moving fast lol. the rpms are at 6,000 and yet the car isnt really moving fast.

the turbo isnt smoking or behaving wierd at all.

Could it be the knock sensor??? could a engine mount be loose and something is smacking the motor?

    This is f'en wierd....

do the RPM climb but your speed stays the same? could be clutch slipping

Clutch is brand new. Rpms have a harder time climbing but they climb none the less.

Did this problem start right after you, or whomever did the clutch?

Doesn't feel like the clutch. Clutch has full grip. It just fades in power, the engine sounds duller when it happens and just seems poky and slow. But it resets when i start the car after letting it stay parked for a while.
