Hey Everyone,
With 2011 right around the corner, the CDRA is looking at planning the 2011 season.
In 2010 we ran the Davenport Street Challenge with great success and are gauging interest for the 2011 season.

Id love to come out, is the "12 second or slower" rule going to be sticking for this year as well? cuz if it is i think four people that have already posted will be out of the running lol

Last year (2010) we used the 12 second and slower rule to stop the really fast cars from intimidating the "slower" cars in the class. It was more designed as a "entry level" class.
The last 2 races we were asked by a few of the racers to drop it to 11:49 and slower. Everyone in the class agreed to it and we had some very entertaining 11:90 passes! It was fun to watch!

Nah it's bracket. That's why I asked about doing a P2P-like event, since that is heads up.

I would be happier to see the the saturday night drags back on 50th and have the cops stay the fuck away
Bracket racing ain't racing. If it changes to who's faster based on the what class you're in, I'll play.
Current Cars:
2019 BMW X3 M40i Stage 2, 12.44 at 110mph
1972 Chevy Super Cheyenne C10 Pickup 402 big block, 700R4
2004 GMC 2500HD 8.1L
Past Cars:
1970 Chevy Blazer, 2wd
2003 BMW X5 4.6IS Doushmobile, moneypit
2015 Ford Fiesta ST | Cobb Stage 1, catless downpipe
2008 Corvette Z06 - 11.39 at 123.8mph
2002 Corvette Z06 - 12.10 at 116.5mph
2005 Jeep Wrangler LJ
1993 5L Mustang - 12.59 at 108mph
1989 5L Mustang
1990 Jeep Cherokee
1991 Acura Integra RS 403Honda
Yeah, I dunno why everyone tries to re-invent the wheel.
Look at car count on Friday nights. Beats the shit out of any bracket activity.
Do the same thing Saturday, or incorporate a heads up class for guys that wanna do that.
If I could run test and tune type secret street event both Friday and Saturday, I would be there both nights.
P2P or *DIE*
Bracket racing is fun if you are running a powerglide.
For the rest of us it seems a heads up run what you brung is more fun. This is the camp that I belong to.
Does this mean that my little RWD Turbo 4 cyl is at a disadvantage to Davenports to Twin Turbo Z06?
NOPE!
Im in for just about anything.
