Ugly as sin....Ford's Raptor actually resembles a trophy truck...
this thing looks like it would be next year's updated model with a lift and tires...

It reminds me of the Warthog.
Jackolo
So they lifted it, cut out the fenders, added monster flares and could only fit 35's.......... FAIL!
yeah, but its all factory, wouldnt you rather have an OEM lifted truck, with the reliability of the parts, research and development goin into the it. rather than a bunch of aftermarket crap, the aftermarket companys are on such a lower level than OEM. i think the truck is awesome, its always better to have the factory come out with the look that people want, and to know that its factory fit, and quality.Originally posted by happy tree

They still should make it more trophy truck looking but keep rocking the Duramax.

GM getting all ready for the next fuel spike and not gonna come government bailout. They will never learn, stupid bastards.
Nice looking truck though, only wish I needed one and was more secure in the future pricing of fuel.

Umm aftermarket stuff is usually higher quality than oem, you get what you pay for. I have a pro comp lift on my truck and the control arms are pretty beefy compared to the stock stamped steel units. My comments were aimed at the fact that you cant fit much tire on the new gm trucks.
Most of you Ford fanboys forget that Ford has always struggled with their diesel engines
I rode in a brand new one.. it would spank any dodge or duramax on the market, I'm sure. As for reliability.. who knows. Wasn't a ford fanboy at all ever, until their new stuff came out.Originally posted by sxtasy

Um the Ford diesel never performs better than the Cummins or Duramax. Unless somethings changed this last year.Originally posted by CUG

They have a all new 6.7 diesel, it has impressive hp/torque figures but in every single comparo i've seen it get spanked pretty good by the Duramax.Originally posted by Unknown303

The new one isn't like the old ones, not even in the slightest.Originally posted by Unknown303

If GM re-tuned, then maybe, but this new one makes previous diesels look like a joke. There's zero turbo lag on it and everything.
This being the compound turbo setup? Since it's release it was already underpowered compared to the Duramax and Cummins.

I haven't ridden in a new Duramax or Cummins. If they're anything close to what they used to be, then the new Ford would destroy them I think.Originally posted by Unknown303

LOL so you rode in one? Must be a diesel expert now? Sorry man, but Ford has gone through several diesel engines in the last couple of years. While the Cummins and Duramax have remained relatively the same for the last decade. Tests I have read the Duramax is quicker than Fords. Myself and my family have had Cummins, Duramax and Powerstrokes. The Ford trucks have been the least reliable.Originally posted by CUG

Edit: Another interesting fact is Ford's heavy duty trucks (ie F650) still uses the Cummins powerplant and not the diesel engines in there pickup trucks.
