I use a drawer and just throw them in, they are spares for a reason so I rarely use them unless I intend to destroy it on a rusty bolt.

Im a professional so I have snapon primary sockets, mastercraft backup and god-knows-what for spares.

I love having backups to backups personally, but I can't be bothered to organize them.

take a thin sheet of wood, spray it black, grab a whole rack of those princess auto in 1/4, 3/8, 1/2 whichever. screw them into the wood, and boom, all you need. and as you add torx, triple squares, e-torx, u can just add another rail. as for the deep 1/2 drive sockets, i use place them along side the drawer and lay the sockets against them, they hold in place very well since the extra thickness of the wood wont let the 1/2 deep sit on the rails, unless you got a huge toolbox.

a coworker invested the time into cutting holes into this 1 inch thick foam sheet, the kind that little kids use to make blocks or w/e, did the same for all his ratcheting/box end wrenches
like this stuff but large uncut sheets of it, the ones on the snap on truck are outrageously priced

I just riveted my socket rails to the bottom of my tray. They don't move.

My Brother went with these in his tool box and loves them. next time he orders some from the states I'm going to order a set as well. Easy to mount in the box with the stuff he got but the rails can also be puled out if I need to take a set with me.

My old setup. Cant remember the brand name but they all lock together so the weight keeps them down when removing a socket. The Ernst ones look awesome might try that next

I also use the tall mastercraft ones at home

    ^ Best I've seen.

I use the ones with plastic pegs. I don't have any recent pics of my box, but here's a pic from this summer.
