anything more about the bottle drive? Great job fund raising. How is Michelle doing?
I've wanted to do a drive but I work every weekend. I have had friends drop off 15 or 20 bags at my house and I am going to borrow my sisters truck soon to bring them in. If people wanted to drop by my place in canyon meadows that works. It looks like she might be able to go to Europe for some more promising trials. The auction was amazing and opened so many door for her treatment.
Update: Thanks to all the generous donations Michelle has been able to travel and receive numerous treatments. Yesterday she updated us from her current treatment in Mexico. The cancer in her liver has improved from having countless large tumors to just 5 small tumors and the cancer in the rest of her body has not advanced. She now stands a fighting chance of out living the 3yrs terminal diagnosis she was given over a year ago. Once again special thanks to everyone who have helped her battle to see her daughters grow up.
I was thinking about her the other day and was wondering if she ever raised sufficient funds. I wish her all the best. It's nice to hear that every bit actually did count

Another update from Michelle
"Still stable!!! Happy for that but disappointed I didn't get any shrinkage out of my treatment in Mexico. So I get to carry on for another 3 months. Good news is because I have been stable this long I can expect good result from other hormone drugs as well. Hoping that means years! "
Cool! I was just thinking about this last friday and wondering how things were going.

I am a mom to 3 young girls. I was delivered the devastating news (after many false tests) in April 2010 that I had stage 4 Breast Cancer. It was in my liver, lungs, bones and lymph system. There was no cure just treatment to prolong my life as long as possible. Well, with 3 kids to raise, one of them only 9 months old, I decided like any mom would, to fight it with all I could. I need to be around for as long as possible to raise my family.
I am going for high dose Vit C IV's twice a week as well as taking injections and supplements to boost my immune system, along with exercise and a diet of healthy clean eating. Helping me keep the tumours at bay for as long as possible. My goal is to be around long enough for the medical field to cure me. I am not going to leave my children without a mom! I was given 2-2.5 years to live and that time has come and gone. The cost of these treatments is between $500-$600 a week. Our family and friends have been fundraising on and off for two years now. I am again, running out of money to support my medical needs. The idea of having to stop these treatments is devastating. So I am asking if you have any extra cash to please help me in my fight for my life.
My quality of health is excellent. I have good energy and feel fine. I would like to carry on this way for as long as I possible can.
The amount I have chosen will help me with my treatments for one year.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. If you have any further questions or would like to send the money directly to me you can do so at [email protected]
Thank You everyone who has already donated! I really appreciate it!!"
$5-600 a week? Why aren't treatments like that covered?

I do get great service there, especially when I mention my name, haha.
They are covered, by people like you and I re-directing some beer money or a new pair of shoes this month.Originally posted by Canmorite

Something like this is, in my opinion, so much more useful than growing a fucking mustache, etc. You know EXACTLY where every cent of your money is going and what it's being used for - to live and to keep a family afloat.
