    lol I have been a mac fan boy for a while and even I can't love this. This is a terrible waste, my macbook pro isn't an iPod.

    That was my first thought... since when the hell is computer software called "apps"? I don't mind the term for use on small programs for smartphones/ipods, but christ, don't start calling Civ5 or Starcraft2 an "app"

    Technically tho all programs are applications (apps). Granted it does sound funny when you install an app on your computer. I think of flash games.

    People buy applications via the developers website all the time. Now I have a centralized place to find work apps for my Mac, and I don't need to give my credit card to a website online, sure why not. Microsoft has been tryin to do this for years too. Plus now I don't need to keep a physical copy of my applications and keep track of all the cd keys? Hell yes!

    Im glad I got my android phone and PC when I did. Apple is getting away from the whole reason I liked them before.
