I'm in Strathmore, its snowing/drifting like crazy here.

Just had to drive home from work in the RSX, and I was hitting huge snow drifts at like 40 just to get through. It worked, but my bumper is completely packed with snow lol.

I really hope work closes tomorrow, but I work at McDonalds so I doubt thats going to happen.

It won't happen, McDonlads customers have the advantage of greatly weighing down their vehicles to be able to drive in any weather conditions.

Out in Kindersley Sask, there has been consistent blowing snow for over 24 hours, huge drifts everywhere but the STI plows through them with ease....Quite pleased with my Sonny winter tyres

Nuts snow drifts out here. My truck was hitting them making them fly. Not sure how cars could get through in some spots.

I did deerfoot from the airport to chinook around 6pm.
Wasn't TOO bad, but still be careful!
On the other hand, I did crowchild to Stoney to beddington trail which was HORRID on the Stoney part. Luckily I only saw 3-4 cars on Stoney.

Just did okotoks to heritage pointe to calgary.

    TOTAL whiteout.

I nearly went into the ditch a couple of times (literally couldn't see 2m in front of me, hibeams made it worse), so I pulled over.

Luckily a plow drove by, and at least 30 cars were following right behind it hahaha.

I became car 31 and we all made it safely.

Been cruising around all day in this. Blowing snow is sketchy for visibility but I havent had any problems in 2WD in my Jeep with all-seasons. Pulled a young kid out of the snowbank at the top of Shaganapi and Edgemont around 2:30.

Looks like the city learned from the snow drift mess last year and have been plowing all the roads that got snowed in previously.

Although 22x at 52nd street SE is a complete gong show. I'm not sure what happened but there is a lot of snow just sitting in the middle of the highway and intersection

The above city web site is kind of useless as it doesn't really tell you much about current road conditions. Was out and about this morning already and main roads where I was (central north) are fine. At least one residential street in our neighborhood (Highwood) is impassible right now except for larger 4x4's due to the amount of snow that's drifted in and I heard on the radio that 36 Street NE between Country Hills and 80th Ave is closed due to it being impassible.

Oh well, have to have a coffee and breakfast and then will head out to shovel some senior's and use the snowblower on the local community rink.
    Will fuck off, again.

I had to take my girl into town for work this morning, it isn't terrible in the city but the highways from Airdrie to Calgary are pretty bad, total whiteout in some areas. In the city there is just some heavy snow drifts that you'll get stuck in if you're not careful. Also a truck was down on McKnight and traffic was totally blocked due to it.

    I took some pics
