Default Intermittent wipers and spray no longer work

Last year I tried replacing the fuse panel in my car with a fuse panel from 2 year older car but it wasn't a direct replacement so I switched everything back to original. After doing that my windshield washer spray and intermittent wipers no longer work, I only have on and high. Also when I turn them off they stay right where they are, they don't go back down on their own.

Reading up on it suggests something called the multiplex controller unit (MCU) but that's usually accompanied by loss of air conditioning and power locks. Everything else still works fine.

    It's a 2005 Honda Civic coupe DX

the mcu is the processor in the fuse box and is one solid unit. you have to replace the whole box.
i would check for mangled pins or wires first on the fuse box. did it just stop working or has it not worked since you had the fuse box out?

Hasn't worked since I disconnected everything from the fuse box last year. Been too busy to look at it.

I'm going to try swapping out the entire fuse panel to see if it's the MCU, that should take care of it if it is. I called A1 and they don't have the part, does anyone know where I can get an interior fuse panel for a 2005 Civic?

And if it is the MCU, why do my air conditioning and windows still work? And dome light and key chime.

I'm going to give you guys 2 pieces of advice:
    a) If you unplug wires from your fuse panel, make sure you plug them all in again when you reinstall it.
    b) Don't wait 8 months to check this.

I just dropped the box, plugged in a rogue harness and it works fine again.
