I'm still playing beta/demo. The looking compared to other games i play (cod) is a bit chunky like battlefield bad company. How come all these games would could be COD killers have problems with fluid aiming?

I just played a few games and I don't really like the game. There is so much lag right now that makes it unplayable, hopefully they fix that up. I'm not digging the cloaking and armor either.

^that's what crysis is all about tho - the nanosuit... in the first one, you used the cloaking most second to 'max armour', well i did at least.

Just finished the campaign. It was a lot of fun, but it really has a lot of that "America, fuck ya!" feel to it... which I think plagues a lot of modern day FPSes.

The graphics are phenomenal... even on my system (2 years old now, but heavily overclocked) the game looked visually superb and ran between 40 - 60 FPS... there are times/cutscenes when the frame rate drops significantly though, down to 5 or 7, and the whole system just grinds.

It's definitely bringing to the table what Crysis 1 did for graphic capabilities.

Also, there's a lot of cut-scenes... like... a lot... and some of them are painfully lame to endure.

As far as multiplayer goes, I'm still unsure if I like it... it's not familiar enough to the COD series to be played like the COD series... and while that might be a good thing... I think it's going to deter the millions of COD players from playing it... maybe not though, it's tough to say... it is fun though.

Thats why it sucks...another COD clone.. what have they done to Crysis?..

Also it looks like shit, even on high settings on PC, total dumbed down console game. Overused bloom, shitty textures. Crysis from years ago looks better.

Thank goodness for Bulletstorm, it was such a breath of fresh air from all these military crap shooters. Everyone wants to be like COD now.

Anyway, from what I have seen Battlefield 3 shits all over this COD wannabe, plus its built for PC from the get go. Even from the little we have seen it blows Call of Crysis 2 out of the water.

^yeah I noticed playing the demo the grphx are really smoothed out with extreme glare all over, might just be that rooftop map but the cryengine3 demo shows otherwise-

tried the demo just now. Not impressed. Just seems like another generic sci-fi shooter. The graphics were nothing special either. Definitely won't be buying this. Can't wait for BF3

Unfortunately Crysis is a shadow of its former self... damn consoles.

it's not only the few PC community that noticed the lack of difference vs consoles its pretty much everyone who has tried the game/demo already.

While there will be PC gamers who feel that their version of Crysis 2 will have suffered from having to be "ported" to console, I'm taking a different approach.

It may be a "glass half empty" thing, but instead of the hypothetical that the PC version could have looked better if it was PC-only, I'm looking at the definite: that the 360 version looks amazing.

It may not have the resolution or full range of effects the PC version has, but for the "poor man's" version of the game, running on hardware that's over five years old, it's looking great.

As a disclaimer, note that this is footage taken from the demo and not the full game.

on the other hand, not too f-ing bad, now only if all devs would use the full capabilities of the consoles, i dont understand why they don't, especially with 5 years worth of knowledge and experimenting of the 360 and ps3:

Yea its pretty stupid how the PC demo is just a console port. Crysis died right when I read "Press Start"

The demo was for a limited time I think it ended march 13th
