Most of the games go for around 5-10 dollars. The system is usually around 20 to 30. You could get more if all the stuff works and looks like new

on the other hand, it's a major PITA to try and sell each game individually for $5. it's one thing if you have a retail front where you can sit on stock, but it's another thing to try and sell each of them on eBay or whatever.

i've still got my old NES and games, and would buy those, except that mine just collect dust now, especially with with emulators in wii.

It doesn't matter what they're worth to other people, what are they worth to you?

You say you want to get rid of them - well, if someone's offering you $40, and you're not getting $40 worth of value from them right now, then that sounds worth it.

Personally, I would think the stuff is worth a bit more, but it sure as hell wouldn't be worth it to me to do a ton of research to find out that maybe I should've asked for an extra $20.

I sold a car a few years back for about 20% less than I had asked, because the first person that came to look offered that and I took it. I got a call every day for 2 weeks from other people who said they would've paid full price. Would they have? Who knows. But what I know is that I didn't have to spend 2 weeks making appointments for test drives or having a parade of idiots come to my house and try to nickel and dime me, and that was worth the first guy's 20% discount right there.

Counter at $50 and I'd say it's decent deal.

Yeah, I'd say $50, even maybe $60 and that's more than fair.

Completed listing search on eBay is the best way to check price.

I would keep them instead of $40. Unless you have no room for them.
