Geology 307 (Geological History of Life) past exams

Took this not long ago.

Don't completely discount the videos. He does ask questions from them, although they are really easy, sometimes not having seen it may trip you up.

+1 to attending his reviews. He goes over everything you need to know. He'll tell you what is and isn't on the exam. So just take notes and study them well.

Also... I've just found a copy of my practice midterm and final. I'm pretty sure we didn't get the actual ones back since it's such a large class. If we did, then mine are long gone.

I don't really have the time to scan it myself, but it's 27 pages of material. I think it's the practice midterm and final? cover pages are missing... but they're definitely GLGY 307 material.

So my offer is if someone wants to pick these up from me at school someday, scan them, and then share it (without charging any fees of course), I'd be cool with it.

Is anyone willing to organize that? PM me. Afterwards, the person who has the practice questions can post here and you can all pm him/her your emails or something...

Anyways good luck, that class was a pretty simple A- for me, just required some decent slide memorization.

307 really isn't a complicated class. I will see what I have when I get home sometime next week as I helped mark exams for that class and 301 when I was still in school.

Don't over-think it though, if he didn't stress a concept then he probably forgot about it too.

Easy class, go to review sessions, he will make it painstakingly clear what will and what will not be on the exam. Let me just say this - never say anything that may even moderately offend him, ie. pointing out a spelling mistake. On the final last year, I asked him about a spelling mistake and when he was adding bonus marks to everyone's grade, he made a point not to add it to my grade. I had to personally apologize to him to get the marks. Oh yea, he adds like 5% to pretty much his midterm and final exam grades for everyone, so just stay quiet and don't point anything out, cause he is very sensitive.

Didn't really understand his explanation or hear it clearly. Something about people that wanted to see midterm 1 answers as well as their own test (which he said was not allowed, you can either see the answer key scan tron on its own, or see your scantron + the test questions) and I think he was being lenient and let them see both.
He said he feels it is unfair to the rest of the class that those people saw both and so he won't be using old questions on the final.

Something along those lines... but so bs if that's the case because he pretty much ruined it for the class, not those students because he is the one that allowed them to see both simultaneously. I was hoping he would at least not make it cumulative anymore but it still is, gonna be so brutal...
