    Default Best over ear headphones

Looking for some decent over ear headphones,

I'm currently rocking my buddy's alessandro/grado over ears, not sure of the model (says he got them for 100 online). They're pretty good but I would like something with a little more sound insulation.

I would like to stay under 150 but if there is something "amazing" at 160 or w/e bring it.

    Thanks.

Audio Technica ATH-M50. Great sound insulation, and they rock the house for sound quality in their price range. A little more than you want to spend though, $180-$190. Can be had at Axe Music, or Long and McQuade. LandM has the straight cable version the M50s. Axe has the coiled version. Has a 2ft section of coil near the headphone jack.

Just picked up some Ultrasone HFI-580's on Ebay for $170 shipped. They are absolutely amazing, very comfortable, great sound insulation (if you have music on, you won't hear a word someone is saying next to you), and the sound is unreal.

best closed on-hear supra aural headphone I've ever heard was a Sony of all things

its called the R-10 king, they're pretty nice

lol, otherwise mediocre options would be like the Sennheiser HD280 or some of the Audio Technica's ATH(s)

closed never sound as good usually because it shrinks the soundstaging and high freuencies usually sound shrill in comparison.
