    Default WTB: Compustar R700 remote

The antenna on my gf's remote broke. Looking to replace the antenna or casing.

I believe the compustar system in her car is a 2WFM-R.

Does anyone know if there's a different remote model that would work with this system? I'm willing to upgrade to something different with a more robust antenna.

    2019 Bump!

Compustar system is still going straight but the antenna on the new remote broke again. Hoping someone has an old remote sitting around, I just need the case or specifically just the antenna so it doesn't matter if the remote is working or not.

P.S. Yes, I did call Joe at Autotech : )

EDIT: Did some research and it looks like the COMPUSTAR 2W8000FMR is also compatible with my system.

So if all you need is the antenna, how much does the remote model matter? The one I have, if I find it, is probably a different model.

If it looks anything like the blue remote, it will probably work. Please let me know if you can locate your remote. TIA

It's not like the blue remote. It's a 2w900fmr, which looks like this :

It's part of a complete system I have, so I'm not crazy about it getting torn apart for just the antenna.

Incidentally, I'm looking for a 2w9000fmr remote if anyone has a line on one.

Lost my Compustar remote this summer, and the -15 this morning is urging me to replace. I checked their website and they don't ship to Canada-

Any advice on where to find a replacement for this? 2w901r-ss 2 way Name: prime-901-angle_large.jpg

I've been shopping around for kits as well, and came across this site. I haven't pulled the trigger yet, so can't vouch for them yet. If you do try them out, let us know!

thanks for the Link- The price seems a bit high, I've check locally and can get one for around $200- I'm going with guys that installed a starter in my old car- Simply Structured- who will provide and set up for me for $200.
